The Substance use Clinician will provide comprehensive assessment, counseling/therapy to individuals and groups served the Ayer Community Counseling office.

Master's Degree
Responsibilities
Conduct psychosocial/diagnostic assessments on clients referred to the program.
Implement individual, group and family substance abuse/trauma informed/Motivational Enhancement treatment.
Manage risk for all assigned clients in accordance with treatment team recommendations.
Conduct assessments for Driver Alcohol Education (DAE) and Second Offender Aftercare (SOA) Program, lead groups in support of both programs.
Collaboratively develop treatment plans, interventions and discharge-planning with clients’ families, Drug Court Coordinator and care providers.
Conduct Substance Abuse evaluations for court.
Maintain strong linkages with the District Courts and on-going substance use, mental health and medical treatment as indicated.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in related field required with two years’ minimum experience in substance use and/or addictions treatment.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to an operational and insured vehicle.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including proper documentation abilities.
Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers.
Enthusiastic, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced, team atmosphere.
Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
