Location : Worcester, MA
Pay Rate: up to $52,000/year
The Program Director is responsible for the overall direction, management, compliance and growth and development of Worcester Citadel programs. This position will be the liaison between The Salvation Army after school programs with other collaborative outreaches for church youth connected to The Salvation Army. The Program Director will also be a Liaison with community residents, community agencies and businesses for the purpose of Worcester Citadel community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Must have three to five years of progressive leadership experience in education, youth work and/or recreation/sports programs.
Classroom teaching and/or educational administration experience is preferred.
Must have at least three years’ experience in developing, planning, managing, and supervising a variety of programs.
Must have some experience conducting lessons, demonstrating mentoring, and performing trainings on a variety of program related topics (day camp, summer camp, safety, best practices, etc.).
Must have excellent computer skills and competency working with Microsoft.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English .
Must have a philosophy of education and child development, which is consistent with that of The Salvation Army.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to perform recreational/sports activities when needed and be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Bilingual Proficiency is beneficial but not required.
