Community Healthlink, Inc. is a multi-service, private, non-profit organization committed to promoting, maintaining and restoring the dignity, well-being and mental health of individuals and families in Central Massachusetts.
The Director of Marketing and Communication's primary duty is to oversee CHL's marketing department and is responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the CHL's image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications; and all CHL's marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, client acquisition and so forth.

Ensure articulation of CHL's desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all CHL's publications.
Coordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
Act as the CHL's representative with the media.
Coordinate the appearance of all print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
Develop, coordinate and oversee programs, technical assistance and resource materials to assist chapters in the marketing, communications and positioning of their activities.
Provide counsel to chapters on marketing, communications and public relations.
Ensure that CHL regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Monitor trends.
Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress.
Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
Provides supervision to Grant Manager.
Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in related discipline
3+ years' progressive experience leading marketing and communications programs, preferably in healthcare
A record of accomplishment in strategic content marketing, including communications planning and execution, creative concept development, and strategic messaging/positioning.
Strong writing skills; familiarity with: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media sites; Microsoft Office suite; and other related software or apps
Preferred: Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Must be able to pass a CORI background check
