Seven Hills Foundation Digital Marketing Communications Specialist (409) in Worcester, Massachusetts

The Digital Communications Specialist will support the Office of Advancement by executing innovative communications, marketing, and social media strategy. Collaborating closely with the Vice President of Advancement and the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, the Digital Communications Specialist will implement effective systems and processes to ensure the department’s digital assets are organized and operating effectively and efficiently. This position includes content creation, copywriting, and designing digital marketing materials consistent with the Seven Hills brand. The ideal candidate is a professional with a successful record of developing and executing communications strategies. This candidate has produced communications in challenging situations and is able to work collaboratively and independently.

Digital Communications Specialist will support the Office of Advancement and the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist by executing an innovative communication digital and social media strategy. This position reports to the Vice President of Advancement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement a strategic communications plan that maintains brand integrity, and amplifies Seven Hills programs, mission, values and vision to both internal and external audiences.

  • Coordinate inter-departmental communications and flow of information.

  • Manage and execute mass emailing and digital newsletters.

  • Create and manage social media content in collaboration with the Communications team and program staff.

  • Manage, post and moderate Seven Hills’ social media accounts.

  • Execute multiple and diverse communications tasks and manage task priorities of the Communications team.

  • Update, maintain and publish content for Seven Hills Foundation’s websites, and work with program staff to ensure information and descriptions are current and accurate.

  • Support the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to track, analyze and evaluate communications data. Support building a strategic communications outreach that reaches target audiences.

Additional responsibilities

Assist when needed with other team functions, including writing and proofreading copy, setting up online fundraisers, and helping with virtual and live events.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or relevant field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in communications, journalism/media, creative, and/or marketing.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Models strong email and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in creative graphic design for digital mediums.

  • Exceptional designer, storyteller, and project manager, capable of communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

  • Experience with in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Excel, Word, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Hubspot CMS is preferred.

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced environment.

  • Interest in human services and social justice of disability and marginalized populations

  • Photography and videography skills a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to drive. Occasional evening or weekend schedule requirements
