American Tower Salesforce %26 Marketing Analytics Specialist in Woburn, Massachusetts


The Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) Analyst defines and drives marketing and sales requirements for Salesforce. The Analyst works with the IT department and other stakeholders to drive requirements for the realization of Salesforce as the platform for the Company’s customer portal, as the Company’s central repository for customer information, and as a true CRM tool. The Analyst helps define marketing automation, survey automation, and CPQ (configure, price, quote) requirements, working with the IT team to provide inputs and direction and facilitate execution. The Analyst works closely with the Marketing team and Lead Generation team for marketing automation requirements, delivers reporting on marketing and sales enablement campaigns, and provides ongoing ad hoc Salesforce reporting as needed by the Sales and Marketing teams.


  • Understand and help drive requirements for Salesforce, CRM, marketing automation CPQ, and customer surveying platforms, acting as our liaison between Sales & Marketing, IT and outside vendors and consultants to onboard and implement new technology and update existing technology as needed

  • Oversee the continued development of analytic capabilities and identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline activities, including the automation of pricing activities; Develop a best practice survey and CRM, and partner with Lead Generation and Marketing team to create marketing automation campaigns to tie marketing initiatives to revenue generation and measure ROI

  • Be the resident Salesforce expert; continually research new functionality as the platform evolves/improves to be able to successfully implement Salesforce best practices for our Company

  • Lead SalesForce system requirements, working with internal stakeholders, IT resources, and external consultants

  • Manage and build design elements for larger system implementations in a development environment for supporting requirements gathering and mocking up proposed functionality

  • Become proficient in the usage and ongoing evolution of our marketing automation tool and work closely with Lead Generation Manager to build out campaigns, develop dashboard and reporting management, and coordinate integration with SalesForce

  • Serve as key interface between the IT and Sales teams for system changes or development, including upgrades, development of SalesForce, enterprise data warehouse and end-user reporting tools, training, and implementation of roll outs

  • Work with Salesforce, survey, CRM, and marketing automation representatives to manage the execution of sales and marketing requirements

  • Work with the Manager, Marketing, Sales and Lead Generation teams to evaluate evolving marketing automation platforms, keep on top of new applications available, and make recommendations on when and how to implement

  • Work with the Marketing team to define and implement marketing automation capabilities and sales enablement programs in Salesforce

  • Work with the Manager to evaluate the evolving marketplace of platforms and vendors, keeping on top of industry trends to make platform and vendor recommendations

  • Develop reports based on internal needs and analyze data to develop top-line insights; communicate results and analysis

  • Support departmental needs for ad hoc reporting, meeting monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform and capabilities for Sales and Marketing teams, including Salesforce Communities

  • Demonstrated success with Salesforce, including automating customer surveying, marketing automation, sales enablement, and CRM implementations

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors

  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions

  • Exceptional analytical skills


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Between 3–5 years of marketing or operations experience required, in a role with responsibility for analyzing and reporting on data preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation, and CRM tools required

  • Experience with Salesforce communities preferred

  • Experience with Pardot preferred

  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred

  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, including formula writing, function usage, conditional formatting, and standard keyboard shortcuts preferred; understanding of pivot tables and v-lookups required

  • Strong PowerPoint skills required


Approximately 90% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
