Ethos Veterinary Health Executive Director in Woburn, Massachusetts

Ethos Discovery is looking to hire a full-time Executive Director to serve as its philanthropic leader based in Woburn, Massachusetts.

About Us: Ethos Discovery is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to identifying areas of unmet need through the optics of clinical teams within our clinical practices and delivering innovations that will improve the outcome for pets and humans afflicted with complex medical problems.

The Executive Director is responsible for creating and overseeing the mission, administration, and strategic plan of the organization. Additionally, it is the responsibility of this position to build and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, in support our missing.

About the Role:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of fundraising strategies through the engagement of Ethos Veterinary Health team members, corporate organizations, and aligned groups.

  • Manages a personal portfolio of high net worth prospects with the goal of raising philanthropic donations and helping Ethos Discovery build an endowment of $10,000,000.

  • Prepare Corporate and Foundation grant proposals as well as the creation of a planned gifts program.

  • Provides stewardship of existing donors to ensure their continued involvement.

  • Communicates with both the Ethos Veterinary Health and Ethos Discovery Boards and provides regular progress reports.

  • Develops and implements multi-channel communications strategies to build a community of financial supporters and other interested aligned individuals and groups.

  • Develops and maintains a budget sufficient to ensure the financial health of the Foundation.

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor?s Degree required with a minimum of 10 years? experience in the private or non-profit sector; including 5 years of leadership and fundraising experience.

  • CFRE certification preferred

  • Proficiency in all areas of fundraising with an emphasis on major gifts

  • Proven track record in planning and achieving short- and long-term fund-raising goals

  • Strong project management skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and donation software

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving, with a sharp focus on quality results
