Job Description : We are looking for a Business Area (BA) Technical Director (TD) to join our team in Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The Business Area TD defines and maintains the technology development roadmaps and is responsible for developing pursuit technical strategies for all phases of the capture process across the entire business area and develops strong relationships with domestic and international customers within the Business. The Business Area TD is responsible for leading development of specific technology discriminators and capabilities that span program and business boundaries for all programs within the Business Area at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). This position will report to the Strategic Architecture Director and work with the IDS Technical Director and CE to provide technical oversight to the Business Area in support of the Business Vice President. The Business Area TD works with the Business and Program CEs to identify/resolve top priority program technical issues, and sponsors and monitors execution of technical development efforts while being responsible for the investment strategy applicable to Business Area. The Business Area TD compiles and maintains Business Area technical roadmaps to support the business plan, and Participates in development and maintenance of IDS technology roadmaps Responsibilities will include : Develops pursuit technical strategies for Gate -1 to 4 Sponsors and monitors execution of technical development efforts and is responsible for investment strategy applicable to Business Area Integrates BA technical strategy with IDS strategy; collaborates across the other Raytheon business units Compiles/maintains Business Area technical roadmaps to support the business plan Leads the development and maintenance of IDS technology roadmaps Prioritizes among investments and timing of handoffs across pursuits, programs and product lines; reviews progress of internal Research and Development (IRaD) projects Develops requirements for common architecture efforts Stays on the forefront of his/her technology area and understands/communicates customer needs and preferences Shapes customer approaches to solve Mission needs Benchmarks technologies with the rest of industry Supports technical red teams and peer reviews Develops new customer relations and supports capture efforts Cultivates and develops new sources of supply This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Required Skills: U.S. Citizenship is required Active/Current Secret US Security Clearance. Possesses knowledge of program capture and/or pursuits Minimum of 14 years relevant professional experience Expert knowledge of capture/pursuit process Has proven track record of developing new customer relations Customer Focused Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
