Raytheon Technologies Associate Director, Program Management - RDC in Woburn, Massachusetts

Position Overview:

RMD is hiring for an Associate Director of Program Management (PM) to lead the Radar Development Contract (RDC) with Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The X-Band RDC Program Manager is responsible for partnering with the S3 Development and Test Program Director in leading the baseline consolidation and management of the AN/TPY-2 product line, the development of HW/SW architectures and technology insertion strategy to enable product line growth, and execution of the fair share international engineering services scope for THAAD.

In addition, this program is responsible for the development of new algorithms and technology insertion to enhance the capability of the Sea-Based XBR in response to current mission needs and emerging threats. These new algorithms provide the benchmark for Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capabilities and performance.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Overall growth, execution, and customer intimacy with full accountability and authority for leading and managing the program successfully.

  • Flawless contract execution, customer satisfaction achieving AOP metrics and developing follow on business for the Radar Development IDIQ as well as contract close out of the prior IDIQ, the Radar Sustainment Contract (RSC).

  • Coupling an understanding of evolving Missile Defense threats with USG and allied partner needs, the RDC PM will work to shape future opportunities.

  • Nurturing and maintaining a strategic relationship with MDA to ensure sustained growth opportunity for the X Band product line.

  • Organizing, maintaining, improving and focusing all developmental program resources for achieving program and Annual Operating Plan requirements, independently determining priorities, focusing resources to achieve business and financial objectives, interpreting and applying company policies, and establishing and executing long-term strategic goals.

  • Rigorously manage the scope, schedule, and cost to meet both USG contract requirements and Raytheon business objectives.

  • Lead complex cross discipline teams, a strong command of PM best practices to enhance program execution, executive leadership presence both within and external to Raytheon, and the ability for fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

This position will be located in Woburn, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated program management experience and related PM tools

  • Knowledge of radar systems and agile software development process

  • Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility over >$50M in sales a year

  • Understanding of Government contracting requirements

  • Ability & willingness to travel on a monthly basis (domestically)

  • Active/Current Security Clearance at Secret level

Qualifications We Value:

  • Demonstrated experience with radar development

  • Ability to obtain special access Security Clearances

  • Experience successfully managing large, complex defense programs

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IPDS

  • Radar systems and software expertise with proven experience leading large matrixed teams

  • Knowledgeable in Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Program Management Level 3 Certification with ability to obtain Program Management Level 2 certification within one year of being in role, or equivalent program management certifications

  • Integrity, results-oriented, demonstrated ability to build customer relationships

  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team, as well as the customer.

  • Strong ability to effectively and pro-actively interface with internal and external constituencies

  • Master’s Degree in STEM or Business

Clearance Information: US Citizenship is required as this position needs an active US Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
