Associated Materials Regional Sales Vice President - Northeast in Wilmington, Massachusetts

_SUMMARY:_

The Regional Sales Vice President (RSVP) - Northeast drives strategic top-line and bottom line sales growth at both the regional and local levels within the AMI Distribution Commercial channel. Success in this leadership position will be measured by revenue growth, margin expansion, customer acquisition and satisfaction, retention and the development of productive internal & external relationships.

The RSVP must be located within the territory covered. This includes the states of NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME.

_OBJECTIVES:_

  1. Accountable for exceeding all regional revenue, margin and product mix targets with roll-up responsibility for individual team member contribution to local and regional success.

  2. Lead a high performing team of local and regional sales professionals focused on account acquisition, customer service, revenue retention and profitable sales.

  3. Accountable for operating within established budgets and providing accurate forecasts of business results.

  4. Lead efforts to analyze, troubleshoot and maximize pricing, financial performance, and profitability of local and regional revenue opportunities.

  5. Build and maintain highly successful relationships with Supply Center Managers and executive leadership.

_DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:_

  • Develop and implement successful regional sales strategy leading to increased account and location penetration for AMI product offerings.

  • Hire, retain and develop high performing regional and local sales professionals with company values, core competencies and key performance indicators as applied selection criteria.

  • Establish and measure key performance metrics and objectives for all regional and local sales territories.

  • Develop and promote a strong talent succession plan within the sales region, creating opportunities for top performers and appropriately managing any underperforming territories or people.

  • Create and develop an extremely strong and collaborative relationship with Supply Center leadership.

  • Set and manage appropriate expectations with internal AMI resources, leveraging positive influencing skills to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

_EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field and 10 years of outside sales and or sales leadership experience preferably within the building materials industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people, positively influence all levels of an organization and drive results through a combination of self-motivation and the inspired efforts of others.

  • Strong career progression with a willingness to take additional responsibilities and lead transformational change initiatives.
