Citizens Bank Premier Head of Strategy in Westwood, Massachusetts


The Premier Advisory Business Line has crafted a strategy to strengthen its business and achieve a best in class Affluent Program status. We are searching for a Head of Strategy with a passion for driving a bold vision to broaden client relationships and drive an outstanding client experience. This individual is someone who highly values being a collaborative partner as their personal brand.

The role will need to be highly influential with key stakeholders, working collaboratively to develop and execute on the business strategy and have the ability to operate at multiple levels in the consumer organization. This role will require the candidate at times to dive deep into a topic, often performing analysis personally, then pull up and synthesize the learning into executive level presentation and recommendations.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Shape and lead the transformation of the affluent client delivery model-through the planning, implementation and ongoing execution/evolution of phases

  • Perform targeted, structured strategic analysis on the portfolio of businesses in the Premier Advisory Channel. Assess performance, sales optimization, market segmentation & penetration and change management opportunities

  • Lead cross functional business initiatives to formulate solutions to key business problems and opportunities

  • Monitor, analyze and translate to impact on strategic considerations all relevant events and trends in the external environment including economic drivers, customer behavior trends, competitive threats, and other industry related strategy topics


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Possess 10+ years of experience in a strategy role with proven ability to influence, direct, manage and deliver corporate planning insights and actions to inform and facilitate executive decisions.

  • Strong financial acumen, strategic dexterity and analytical rigor

  • Well versed in current events and issues facing banks and financial services companies including competitive environment and customer behavior trends

  • Proven experience articulating, designing and launching strategy at a business level.

  • Should have experience with business planning and portfolio management including performance optimization and drivers analysis

  • Strong experience influencing and managing executive stakeholders

  • Perform dynamic performance management including causal analysis, data visualization and reporting automation

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including experience in creating broad business quality presentations

  • Prior consultancy experience a plus

    Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelors Degree required

    Hours per Week: 40

    Work Schedule: M-Fr
