Citizens has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic creative supervisor to lead, manage and grow our award-winning in-house creative agency Greenhouse. This is our central creative team for the enterprise, which creates integrated marketing campaigns, traditional and multi-media assets/content in support of driving Citizens brand and business objectives.

You are a master creative professional who uses your expertise, operational know-how and ability to grow and lead creative teams to consistently generate genius, high impact deliverables, meet deadlines and generate big ideas. You bring a strong background in team management, operations and guiding strategic creative direction. Demonstrated success working collaboratively in very diverse environments to lead teams to solve problems in innovative ways and partner with key stakeholders from across the enterprise to clear the way for your teams to do seamless and exceptional creative work. You motivate to overcome obstacles and blockers to deliver high-quality work regardless of setbacks.

As the leader of Greenhouse, you will manage the leaders of our Design, Production Studio, Photo/Video, Copy and Content functions. You understand how to make decisions to benefit Greenhouse and bring your teams along with you towards the vision to empower all of us to do our best work in the most innovative ways. You set the tone in championing brave ideas with poise, conviction, and purpose, partnering with functional leads and executive leadership to make it happen. You bring an efficiency mindset and experience to rally teams to turn breakdowns into breakthroughs, always seeking a better way to do and be.

A proven effective leader who mentors and manages with a focus on promoting inspiration, learning, excellence, and accountability amongst an experience and growing team. You will be responsible for cultivating existing citizens, providing opportunities for growth across Greenhouse as well as recruit new citizens and build a bench of freelance staff to support Greenhouse and the growing business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously drive creative and operational excellence across the team, optimizing ways of working and strategic alignment to maximize the business value of all creative deliverables.

  • Forge strong partnerships with COE (Operations Center of Excellence) and Enterprise stakeholders to ensure seamless processes to achieve maximum impact against campaign and creative priorities while ensuring brand consistency across many outputs.

  • Proactively share learnings with relevant stakeholders for continued improvement.

  • Set compelling strategic priorities and clear direction for the creative team success.

  • Work with the recruitment and creative teams to attract, recruit and retain top-tier creative talent.

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and wins for creative growth and bringing work inhouse.

  • Direct management responsibility for Design, Copy and Content creative teams, Production and Photo/Video leads. This role reports directly to the SVP, Head of Brand.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills/Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience across in-house / external creative agency.

  • 5+ years' experience leading teams, managing, and developing talent within in-house or external agencies.

  • A flexible attitude - seeing challenges as opportunities.

  • Passionate about creative thinking and willing to explore multiple options, take risks·

  • Experience bringing creative in-house from agencies and structuring teams to ensure success.

  • Agency experience. Preferably with a combination of agency provider experience and corporate, in house agency leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver work and provide positive leadership and poise in fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to complete campaigns

  • Excellent project management, time management and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with project management tools and processes

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office (specifically Power Point and Excel)

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology a plus
