* * About This Role The Senior Manager, Divisional Customer & Market Insights will support field leadership, Divisional General Managers (DGMs) and be a proactive thought partner by identifying areas of opportunity in performance and execution and creating analytic models to diagnose business. Investigate geographic, account and customer trends, report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant leading indicators. Comfortable in working with integration of disparate data sources (structured and unstructured) to investigate and bring solutions to key business questions. Ability to formulate and develop hypothesis to drive business forward aligned to business strategic priorities and goals. Drive a holistic perspective (across portfolio and brands, as well as from National to Divisional insights) and work collaboratively with cross-functional team including (but not limited to) Divisional Marketers, Customer & Market Insights (C&MI), Field Force Effectiveness (FFE), Market Access (MA), Patient Services, to pull through and activate insights leading to execution opportunities. What You'll Do Collaborate with Customer Excellence & Operations functions (C&MI, Field Excellence, Promotional Effectiveness, Multi-Channel Marketing, Customer Information Management) as a single point of contact for insights and analytics in support of the DGMs. You will objectively define and evaluate progress against KPIs, divisional goals, enable data-driven decisions, and proactively deliver actionable insights that maximize shareholder value, in coordination with your MS cross functional team. * Strategic Thinking – able to independently design/identify the ideal approach to answering complex business questions pulling from all available internal/external data sources; able to draft synthesized outputs and drive beyond the raw output of the analysis to actionable insights; anticipates the next question(s) from management * Strong Project / Deliverable Management – ability to deliver complex analytical investigations and cross-functional projects with limited guidance; ability to scope, enhance the output/hypotheses and deliver analytical investigations and projects with limited oversight; seeks to understand the problem/issue, conducts cross-functional interviews and drives towards a well-structured deliverable * Dealing Well with Ambiguity / Intensity – operates well in a fast-paced environment driven by senior leadership requests and evolving needs * Excellence in Analytics - ability to interact with peers and cross functional teams (including off-shore teams) and build capabilities in modeling, as well as provide ongoing training to build and maintain analytical excellence * Independence – able to manage workload with limited guidance and support in prioritization; effective managing to expectations and ability to scope/prioritize work with relatively high independence * Field Sales Support * Liaise and monitor performance reporting, prepare insights to surface performance issues/opportunities and align on action, lead performance updates, and conduct ad hoc analyses based on synthesis / analysis of a variety of primary / secondary data sources * Drive cross-functional alignment on performance insights and recommended actions, including setting executional direction, defining and driving a divisional and regional plan in alignment with MS portfolio strategy; support the DGM in assessing structural and investment requirements to achieve sustainable performance and growth targets (i.e., tailored resource deployment to support different customer segments and access levels; etc.) Field Sales & Performance * Development and management of ongoing reporting, coordination and alignment required to drive efficiencies aligned to KPIs and field execution opportunities * Support the development of analytical models to diagnose and provide insights * Understanding, reporting and monitoring of key pull through and execution tactics (i.e. segmentation/ adoption, profiling of territories, and execution metrics i.e. call plan adherence, iVA usage). Field Force Effectiveness * Collaborate with sales leadership to establish, measure and inform field salesforce performance * Bring direct customer perspectives to life by ongoing interaction with DGMs/Field Leadership and Divisional Marketing partners * Define and monitor key performance indicators in support of division goals, and aligned across other divisions via sustainable platforms *Who You Are The ideal candidate is passionate about creating an impact through learning, self development and continuing to grow via solving business problems. This individual is creative and comfortable with data can create advanced analysis, models and co-design dashboards and BI tools which inform and drive enhanced business decision making and identification of opportunities. #LI-JH1 Required Skills * Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in life sciences sector or consulting firm supporting the geographic analysis * Strong quantitative and analytical skills, high comfort sourcing, manipulating, analyzing data to formulate and address ongoing business analytics and reporting * Ability to develop and execute an analytical plan to address and prioritize key business questions and ability to transpose methodological approach to a customer lens for application of findings * Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as an innate curiosity which enable clear understanding and application to business need * High Customer Orientation including the ability to reframe business questions with internal customers as a thought partner to the field and other commercial functions * Experience with standard business tools such as SAS/SPSS/SQL/PowerBI * Experience with syndicated and CRM data (i.e. IQVIA, Specialty Pharma Data/Claims Data/CRM) * Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment and ability to prioritize workload * Preferred Skills * Experience working with off-shore teams preferred * Experience in the healthcare space or related field a plus * Understanding of Market Access/Payer landscape a plus * Education* * Bachelor’s degree required in Mathematics/Engineering/Economics/Operations Research or related field * Advanced educational achievement or MBA preferred The Senior Manager, Divisional Customer & Market Insights will support field leadership, Divisional General Managers (DGMs) and be a proactive thought partner by identifying areas of opportunity in performance and execution and creating analytic models to diagnose business.
