Biogen Franchise Strategy Lead, US BBU in Weston, Massachusetts

About This Role The US Biogen Biosimilar team is looking for a Director of Franchise Strategy to lead high priority strategic initiatives to support the development of an integrated U.S. biosimilar strategy across biosimilar brands in the US market. This individual / team will influence and partner with a wide range of teams across Biogen, including Brand Marketing, Market Access & Reimbursement, Patient Services, Government Affairs, global commercial & medical and select teams to ensure all Biosimilar product strategies have a cohesive approach with the goal of improving patient outcomes, increasing access to life changing therapies, increasing healthcare cost savings and achieving portfolio revenue goals. The candidate will report to the Head of Franchise Strategy, US BBU and be responsible for leading strategic initiatives from “A to Z” in partnership with others to provide recommendations and solutions that will help the US BBU franchise achieve its goals. * * What You’ll Do · Effectively lead cross-functional teams to provide strategic recommendations and solutions (including cross-functional launch operating team to coordinate and ensure a cohesive launch readiness and execution across all functions) · Partner with US Market Access & Reimbursement partners to ensure coordinated strategies at the payer level (through Market Access account teams) and field reimbursement level (through BBU field teams) · Identify customer insights (HCP & Patient), pain point, and areas of compliant intervention that can be addressed to enhance customer experience to support brand start & stay strategies; work with relevant Biogen patient service leaders to design and implement programs that address these needs · Understand and partner with US Government Affairs and advocacy teams to connect stakeholders, policies and association strategies that align to portfolio access opportunities · Understand and gain deep customer insights for all critical stakeholders responsible for creating access with key accounts across all channels and partner with franchise strategy marketing team to develop comprehensive stakeholder specific value proposition(s) to position the Biogen Biosimilar brands for success with respective channels Who You Are You are a strategic thought partner who enjoys working on a wide variety of projects and leading cross-functional teams to develop strategic recommendations that have high impact on the organization. You have a diverse skillset within healthcare including experience within Market Access and Reimbursement. You are a proactive individual with excellent organization and communication skills who enjoys collaborating with and engaging with a multi-disciplined team. #LI-JH1 Required Skills 1. 10+ years of industry experience in related positions with proven performance in analytically driven positions with a focus on developing winning strategies for product access and launch. 2. Prior experience leading cross-functional teams to develop strategic recommendations to address a complex problem; ability to drive decisions to progress workstreams forward and gain alignment in a matrixed organization 3. Proven ability to drive organizational change while setting vision and goals that achieve positive financial outcomes 4. Progressively responsible leadership positions within operations, strategic business planning, and/or customer services efficiencies 5. Proven ability to operate within a complex matrix environment and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills 6. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare stakeholders, how product access is created at the customer and understands the current and future needs of population-based discussions with payers & large group customers 7. Demonstrated understanding of buy & bill dynamics (particularly in the Medicare space), formulary management and the growing areas of specialty management inclusive of biosimilars 8. Strategic thinker with executive leadership and influencing skills 9. Prior experience interfacing with and presenting to internal executive staff and field-based leaders managing customers 10. Strong cross-functional project management experience Preferred Skills · Management consulting or similar consultative leadership experience highly preferred · P&L management knowledge preferred, prior experiences in a finance discipline is a plus All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
