Avantor Product Manager Single Use in Westminster, Massachusetts

Job Summary This position will be responsible for the strategy and variable margin of a chemicals product line for the biopharma production industry/region. This function will help produce profitable growth through coordinated strategic planning and execution. Assist with annual strategic planning process, strategy execution tracking, and pipeline build to deliver revenue growth and margin expansion. Participate with annual voice of customer/market research and align with robust process for prioritizing, executing, and launching technology projects to maximize returns. Perform product/customer profitability analysis to determine appropriate pricing levels based on segment, performance, geography, and value created in application. MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) Conduct market analysis, competitor analysis, market strategy, and product portfolio strategy for relevant markets. Use data to develop and drive the product roadmaps, pipeline prioritization, and pipeline strategy for relevant markets/products with commercial and technology organizations Engage potential partnerships or acquisitions that will accelerate the strategy and deliver strong returns. Provide support in the direction for product line rationalization and support to the supply chain group with implementation. Establish close relationships with customers, field and inside sales to keep abreast of emerging market trends and opportunities; foster geographic and business cross-fertilization to maximize impact on sales growth Support product development efforts with insight on product value and ensuring timely product set up Help define success criteria for new commercial products and ensure projected timelines and financial projections are met. Work with marketing communications to develop clear and concise collateral (FAQs, presentations, case studies, white papers, etc.) to assist commercial team in communicating value to customers (both for existing products and new product launches) Monitor the product margins ensure profit goals are met; develop and implement plans to optimize profitability. Set pricing for products in the context of product costs, market and competitive conditions, value to customer, pricing strategy, geographic locations, and internal (manufacturing) capabilities. Work with the supply chain teams to align plant and supply chain efforts to achieve optimum return for resource deployment and provide prioritization where needed. Guide supply chain team on key supply issues while elevating recurring or high-risk situations. Lead monthly S&OP plan for business group and aid in issue resolution. QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications) Bachelor?s degree (B. A. / B. S.) in Marketing, Sciences, chemical engineering, or equivalent. 8 years? experience working in the biopharma, pharma or chemical industry. 5 years? experience working with customers and cross functionally with R & D, manufacturing, regulatory affairs and sales. Previous experience identifying market opportunities and determining feasibility. Experience and Knowledge in doing business with a good understanding of strategy development for the biopharma industry. Product management, marketing strategy and product launch planning skills will also be beneficial. Must be Computer literate (WORD, EXCEL, SAP).
