The Red Hat Partner Ecosystem group is looking for a Product Manager to join us and help guide innovation within Red Hat and with partners and customers for how our partner ecosystem is promoted through the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog. In this role, you will define and manage the fulfillment of product plans, releases, and road maps, coordinating a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders in order to achieve results. You will be involved in the planning and carrying out releases and new launches, prioritizing and communicating requirements in order to guide development, supporting marketing activities, performing competitive reviews and analysis, and working with partners. You will actively contribute to delivery of the overall company strategy and work closely with engineering, marketing, support, sales, and field teams to ensure the success of our offerings. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be an excellent leader, results-oriented, with experience managing cross-functional products or projects. To be effective, you’ll need to quickly build relationships with different product teams through sound and nuanced understanding of customer and partner use cases, competitive landscape, and technical differentiation and be able to motivate others without direct authority. Successful applicants must reside in a country and state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do
Manage the delivery of all product lifecycle processes for the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog and its relationship within the Red Hat Site System, including Red Hat Marketplace
Analyze consumer needs, market trends, and potential novel areas of innovation
Assess competitive solutions, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to develop competitive positioning and seeking opportunities for differentiation
Understand and incorporate company and business team strategy into product objectives
Define and guide the product strategy and roadmap with input from partners, stakeholders and constituents, company and business team strategy, and market and competitive analysis
Translate product strategy into detailed business and product needs, soliciting collaboration and input from business and technical associates, to formulate actionable requirements and solutions for prototype construction and development by engineering teams
Define objectives and key results (OKRs) and key metrics to measure product and feature success
Collaborate with UXD to prototype and transform product features, enhancements, and innovations into visual deliverables for socialization and delivery by the engineering teams
Define and prioritize requirements, epics, and user stories in a product backlog and coordinate delivery through team sprints
Manage product releases and launches and assist development of marketing and awareness campaigns
Act as an internal and external advocate, promoting the product strategy and integration with company and team strategy, current and future product roadmaps, OKRs, key metrics, and analytics-based insight into user activities, patterns, and trends
Build and maintain relationships with partners to gauge success and formulate improvements of how partners achieve value through their investments
Establish a reputation as a thought leader and subject matter expert among Product Management, Engineering, and other internal teams
What you will bring
3+ years of proven experience managing the product lifecycle in a dynamic product management role within an agile development process
Proficiency in human factors, digital UXD, and SEO
Experience translating digital analytics into insights
Experience with open source technologies and business models
Proven record of motivating others without direct authority
Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with excellent presentation and public speaking skills
