Entry Level Staff Engineer-Site Design Introduction We are committed to making a meaningful impact through our work. As an Entry-Level Staff Engineer, you will join our Site/Civil Team in our Portland, ME office, where you\'ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Our Land Use Team and Projects Nearly 120 professional engineers, strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We assist clients from the initial conceptual stages of a project through schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents, bidding, and construction oversight. Well versed in local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements, as well as ever evolving climate change impacts and concerns, we strive to incorporate sustainability and resiliency into our site plans and designs. What You\'ll Be Doing Playing a key role working on site planning, computer drafting, design, and permitting projects Assisting on construction phase services for land development and renewable energy projects Preparing technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, and correspondence Observing construction, helping with shop drawings and submittals, and creating as-builts and record plans What You Will Need Bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Completed FE or E.I.T. certification or planning to complete it by graduation Relevant experience through internships in surveying, engineering design, permitting, consulting, or construction observation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Strong written and verbal communication skills Eagerness to learn, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and excellent organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks Understanding of hydraulic/hydrological studies and modeling Relevant internship experience Your Financial and Wellness Benefits Generous medical plans, life and disability insurance, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off (PTO), legal insurance, and adoption assistance Student loan repayment assistance, up to \$7,000 Up to \$1,000 in wellness incentives each year Robust deferred income benefits through 401(k) employee match contributions, ESOP, and annual profit-sharing Entry Level Staff Engineer- Site Design salaries range from \$61,576 to \$80,818, based on skills and experience Bachelor?s degree salary is \$72,176 and master?s degree salary is \$76,336 Additional year-end bonuses as part of our employee-owned structure
