Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a muti-disciplinary team of sales, development, engineering, and other personnel on the writing, editing and document management and production of proposal documents, detailed energy audits, presentations, and other customer communications.

  • Review and provide editorial support with proposal document sections prepared by other team members.

  • Collaborate with team members on customer needs assessment, analysis of solicitation requirements, and development of proposal win themes and storyboarding.

  • Conduct research and collaborate with other departments as assigned to effectively address proposal requirements and create persuasive and differentiating responses to proposal requirements.

  • Participate in presentation preparation and provide support with slide development.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on development of regional project references, resumes and other proposal boilerplate material.

  • Develop expertise with processes and procurement requirements associated with energy savings performance contracting and other contracting methods in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States.

  • Oversee procurement of supplies required for document production.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years of experience in a writing, or other editorial and document production or publishing

  • 2+ years of experience with InDesign or other Adobe Creative Suite applications

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing

  • Familiarity with Shipley proposal process

  • Prior energy services industry experience

  • Must have excellent attention to detail and have ability to consistently work on deadline, manage time, and set priorities.

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

  • Must be able to work outside of normal business hours on occasion to meet proposal deadlines.

  • Dependable, with excellent attendance, a professional attitude and ability to multi-task.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Prior work with multi-disciplinary teams preferred

  • Prior collaboration with firms or team members outside one’s own company preferred.
