Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH) provides psychiatric stabilization and diagnosis treatments for Children, Adolescents and Adult populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our goal is to ensure patients and their loved ones feel comfortable and are well informed regarding treatment options.

Our state-of-the art facility is located in Westborough near the intersection of Route 495 and Route 9. The hospital operates 24/7.

The Business Development Specialist will be a self-starter who has proven planning and organizational skills required to strategize business prospecting and client development within the market area. The incumbent will plan, organize, develop, and execute the Business Development function to maximize visibility as the acute psychiatric preferred provider, increase patient admissions, and expand market share in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The incumbent will leverage their knowledge and experience with youth and adolescent services, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with all associates, referral sources, vendors, community contacts and regulatory bodies.

  • Communicate new and existing services and develop delivery models to prospective clients.

  • Identify arising business opportunities and build long-term relationships with prospects.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulations and reimbursement policies of Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid.

  • Conduct industry analysis annually and local market analysis quarterly.

  • Develop and deliver a detailed public relation plan to include identifying media contacts, social media postings, and event management that will promote the organization.

  • Meet and/or exceed budgeted census and quality mix goals

  • Conduct facility tours to potential patients, families, and visitors and educate them on key benefits of the facility.

  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field from accredited college or university

  • Must have five (5) or more years successful healthcare business development experience

  • Knowledge of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in an acute psychiatric care facility

  • A valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills

  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
