We are looking for a Product Line Manager for Women’s Product (Rockport & Cobb Hill).

This role is responsible for driving all stages of the product creation process, from uncovering consumer and marketplace insights to presenting finalized footwear concepts. This includes crafting product briefs, analyzing business metrics, researching consumer and marketplace trends, co-authoring the line plan, and collaborating with Design, Engineering & Development, and Merchandising teammates to create beautiful product.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the strategic direction of product lines in alignment with the Brand and Business Unit strategy

  • Ensuring that final products are target consumer and trend relevant, competitive on the market and offer and unique selling proposition

  • Driving the cooperation with Merchandising & Sales, Key Accounts, Design and Development to ensure that the final collection is reflecting market needs

  • Frequently analyze Global Markets & Key Accounts to conduct consumer, market and competitor studies

  • Monitoring development plans for assigned product using timelines with specific target dates to ensure samples are delivered to Merchandising Department according to schedule. Provide continuous and detailed progress reports to Product Team.

  • Collaborate with Design and Merchandising groups to identify materials, components and various details for each project.

  • Provide input to the design process in areas related to cost.

  • Together with the Design and Materials Team - research and network with suppliers/vendors to source new and innovative materials. Maintain knowledge of current competitors’ products.

  • Creation and Maintenance of Material Toolbox (for Business Unit). Lead seasonal material consolidation (Upper and Lining Materials specifically) across entire product line

  • Creation and ownership of Material specifications for certain parts of the product line.

  • Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Rockport management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

  • Maintain close communication with the product creation teams and overseas development staff reviewing progress and resolving issues.

  • Turning forecast & sales analyses into product & business decisions

  • Ensuring that Product Data Systems are maintained correctly and on time.

  • Presenting product strategy and product lines to international partners and Key Accounts

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training (Preferably Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fashion Management, Business Administration or Marketing)

  • 8+ years industry proven experience in product management, merchandising, retail and sales, with a strong appreciation for lifestyle and fashion

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Diverse international experience and global marketplace understanding

  • Passion for fashion, footwear, art, and ability to foresee and capture on consumer trends and cultural shifts

  • Proficient information-seeking skills and business acumen

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including excelling in presentations

  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills and drive for results, attention to detail and deadlines

  • Can cultivate and maintain relationships with multiple key partners in a fast-paced environment

  • Enthusiastic self-starter who understands the urgency to push projects forward

  • Team Player who understands how to best excel in a team environment, strong flexibility, and open mindedness

  • Ability to solve problems and find new ideas

  • Deep knowledge of MS Office environment (Excel, Power Point, etc.)

  • Readiness to travel within US and Europe
