CVS Health Lead Analytics Consultant - Merchandising in Wellesley, Massachusetts

Job Description

The Retail Analytics team is helping lead the effort to transform healthcare and drive improved consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic solutions and insights. As a member of the Analytics & Behavior Change Data Science team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high visibility analytic projects for key CVS Retail strategic priorities. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to drive revenue and customer satisfaction in CVS Health’s Front Store business using advanced analytic solutions to optimizing merchandising, pricing and promotion decisions. You will have the chance to solve complex problems, build predictive models and simulate impact of business decisions to improve customer experience. We are a fast-paced team focused on building innovative analytic solutions using AI/ML and cloud capabilities. Within our team, we believe a cutting edge AI product can only be delivered if every aspect of the solution from data to model to front end UI is fully designed and developed by SMEs within the team. As a Lead Analytics Consultant, you will be expected to partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver business insights with advanced AI models and intuitive front end user interfaces using best in class cloud and AI platforms. We are looking for talented individuals who have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and a desire to deliver high quality end to end intuitive and impactful analytic products using advanced data driven approaches.The Lead Analytics Consultant role will: • Define objectives and key milestones to meet short and long term needs of business stakeholders and oversee project management activities including team communication, leadership updates, stakeholder management and timelines• Serve as key point of contact with business stakeholders and collaborate with them to ideate, design and implement rules-based models, machine learning models and user interfaces that support strategic retail initiatives• Develop and leverage in-depth knowledge of Retail Merchandising business processes and translate key drivers of business value to analytic opportunities• Work within a high performing, cross-functional analytics team to translate business asks into Agile-driven features and lead delivery of highly complex analytic solutions / insights to facilitate business growth • Organize, collect, and standardize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results, insights and support business decisions• Develop and maintain relationships with wide range of stakeholders including business partners, IT, other data and analytic teams, Legal, etc.• Develop in-depth knowledge of relevant data flows and cloud strategy to evaluate data needs of assigned projects and assure integrity of data• Mentor junior team members to provide solution strategy and technical advice • Interact with internal and external peers and management to share progress and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology / business solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of consulting or strategy experience in the retail, healthcare or technology industry • 5+ years of business analytics experience, leading high visibility analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact• Retail merchandising domain expertise including category management, assortment optimization, product clustering, product price sensitivity and promotion affinity evaluation, store clustering and localization• Problem solving skills and experience in translating business problems across disciplines into advanced analytic projects with measurable business value• Excellent written and oral communication and data presentation skills, with ability to communicate technical concepts / solutions to business partners• Excellent project management skills, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and work in a climate of ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with managing large scale projects, leading multiple workstreams and working with multiple business stakeholders in a matrixed environment to influence decision-making• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with a variety of analytic processes and techniques, including development of measurement methodologies, statistical significance testing, rules-based and machine learning modeling, and data visualizations• Solid understanding and hands-on experience working with large data sources and proficiency in latest cloud based advanced tools and platforms

Education

BA/BS degree required Masters degree in quantitative field or MBA preferred
