As a Distinguished Engineer within CVS Health's Digital Workplace area, you will play a crucial role in driving technical innovation and advancing our digital capabilities within the organization. You will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing our digital workplace solutions, ensuring optimal usability, productivity, and collaboration for our employees. This role requires a strategic mindset, technical prowess, and a deep understanding of digital workplace technologies and trends. Part technologist, part evangelist and part futurist ΓÇô this key role will drive the definition of the end user journey throughout a Fortune 4 company with over 300,000 associates and $340B in top line revenue. For the right technologist with diverse expertise this could be the opportunity to re-define the meaning of digital workplace for a respected global healthcare leader. As a Distinguished Engineer on CVS's Digital Workplace / AI developer team, you will own and execute on high priority AI enterprise level initiatives, influence other areas within the business and drive the AI developer experience. Partnering with various teams throughout IT, Digital, Data & Analytics and other business teams to build out the best colleague experience. This role is responsible for the big picture thinking, strategic direction, presenting to executive stakeholders and holding engineering teams accountable for overarching delivery goals. You will make an impact by:
Developing and executing the digital workplace strategy aligned with CVS Health's business goals.
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Playing a key role in the development of the next generation of workplace engineers across CVS Health.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and business stakeholders, to drive key initiatives and projects.
Designing and architecting robust digital workplace solutions that deliver a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms.
Evaluating and selecting the most suitable technologies and tools to optimize productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction with an emphasis on leveraging advanced techniques such as AI, Machine Learning and Cloud Native platforms.
Defining and driving the technical roadmap for the digital workplace, ensuring scalability, security, and performance ΓÇô persistently designs for experience and resiliency in a boundaryless and secure manner.
Staying updated on the latest digital workplace technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices.
Conducting technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and pilots to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of new tools and platforms.
Driving the adoption of modern workplace technologies, such as collaboration tools, workplace analytics, employee self-service portals, automation, etc.
Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, through automation, performance optimization, and code quality enhancements.
Championing innovation and exploring cutting-edge technologies that can enhance the digital workplace experience and deliver tangible business value.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas and concepts to life, facilitating a culture of experimentation.
Collaborating with others to solve CVS's toughest issues to deliver business needs that directly impact the live of our colleagues and customers.
Embodying a deep technical expertise and thought leadership that will help accelerate adoption of CVS's digital workplace.The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have the following experience / knowledge / ability:
Ability to work Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)
12+ years of experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or a similar role.
5+ years if experience with AI development tools
5+ Years of experience in Python or Java
5+ years in AI framework libraries and AI tooling platforms
5+ AWS, Azure or GCP
5+ years of experience with developing and implementing target architectures.
Proven track record of designing and implementing digital workplace solutions, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Expertise in digital collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workplace) and workplace analytics.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS architectures, and modern technologies such as machine learning and AI.
Prior experience with large healthcare, media, and entertainment or ΓÇÿbig tech' companies.
Advanced Degree
Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Software Engineering
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$170,000.00 - $325,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
