We are seeking a Senior Creative Design Specialist to join our Corporate People Teams. This role supports marketing, business development, employee engagement programs, and brand stewardship activities across our footprint through high-quality digital and print marketing and communication pieces.
We are looking for a design partner that can help elevate our messages and strategies through innovative digital design practices. This designer will actively collaborate within a network of VHB’s in-house graphic designers and serve as a brand ambassador. Working closely with marketing, communication, and graphic design colleagues, as well as the broader People + Culture Team and technical practitioners, this individual will be comfortable conceptualizing and producing design concepts and solutions.
Candidates will be requested to show design portfolios.
Lead graphic design and preparation efforts through all phases of development and final production of materials, which may include dynamic presentations, employee engagement initiatives, internal promotional and communication materials, video, and/or external visibility projects
Participate in and present at kick-off meetings, check-ins, and final review meetings with limited supervision
Serve as brand and culture ambassador
Verify deliverables comply with VHB corporate branding standards, formats, and template styles
Ensure QA/QC standards are met
Conceptualize, collaborate, and execute on design briefs and assignments while maintaining project vision
Coordinate interaction with third parties, including print vendors, photographers, and advertisers
Actively learn about VHB’s culture, leadership, organizational goals, markets, and services
Skills and Attributes
Proactive project management
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to think critically
Ability to quickly and accurately edit materials while under time constraints
Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excel in working in a highly collaborative environment
4-7 years of graphic design experience, preferably in A/E/C environment.
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, or similar.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs, including InDesign and PowerPoint
Skills in photography, video, animation, and social media preferred
Involvement in industry affiliations, preferred (ie. AIGA)
