Commonwealth Financial Network Vice President, Marketing Support Services in Waltham, Massachusetts

Are you a forward-thinking, self-motivated marketing leader with superior communications and production strategy skills? As our vice president of marketing support services, you will partner with the chief marketing officer to deliver strategic solutions that meet key business needs across the organization.

In this critical internal marketing agency position, you will represent our firm’s Anything but Common® philosophy and steadfast dedication to indispensable service while working with internal customers and business partners. You will collaborate with other marketing content leaders to drive firm success by managing initiatives with fast, accurate, and on-brand delivery according to business needs. This includes providing marketing best-practice guidance, efficiently leading the output of content and materials, and facilitating effective internal communications between business unit leaders who distribute information to existing and prospective advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and directing support team to build strong internal relationships with firm stakeholders

  • Managing, executing, and approving the creative development of content and marketing materials in support of the firm’s business goals (includes digital content, end-customer communications, and presentations)

  • Overseeing marketing daily operations; supporting business leaders with critical messaging and communications development for new products and services

  • Providing strategic marketing guidance and project support for key Commonwealth business leaders

  • Supporting internal communication needs for business units, including Human Resources, Information Technology, and Executive Management; ensuring that Commonwealth staff and community remain engaged and informed

  • Troubleshooting and resolving marketing and project-related challenges across business units

  • Working within the department’s budget to develop cost-effective marketing solutions for project and support initiatives

  • Tracking all project workflow, deliverables execution, and workforce operations to chief marketing officer and executive leadership to ensure effectiveness of firm resources and personnel

  • Adjusting marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback

  • Supporting important customer event and community-related initiatives to ensure that branding and messaging strategies are implemented and effective

  • Coordinating with other marketing leadership, including Creative Development, Operations, and Data and Analytics teams; ensure that efforts are properly scoped, staffed, and aligned to shared business deliverables

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • 8+ years in a marketing account leader or management role with a focus on creative production management and efficient marketing processes

  • Strong experience executing marketing plans; serving as a brand ambassador and liaison between creative and marketing leadership leaders
