Reporting to the Treasurer/Head of Commercial Finance, this individual will lead the Americas region pricing operations, strategy, and analytics. This role will have supervision of, and be supported by, a Pricing and Contract Specialist. This role will interact heavily with members of the Field Sales organization, senior management, and other departments such as customer service and legal.
Manage the process of evaluating and communicating new and expiring customer price agreements in addition to comprehensive evaluations.
Enforce current price approval framework and assist in the identification and evaluation of new tools that support the proper controls over, and efficiency of, price approvals.
Manage the Company’s relationships with affiliated Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) ensuring proper customer master data maintenance of membership, contractual compliance, and evaluating pricing / strategic importance upon anniversary of contractual relationship.
Review, and in some cases create, legal agreements associated with customer price / purchasing arrangements. Coordinate internal legal and finance review, and manage the retrieval and storage of executed documents.
Price Analytics: Create, and maintain, recurring analytics around ASPs and customer purchase history, reportable to both senior management and in a format that is actionable for Field Sales that would drive customer interaction. Ad hoc requests relating to individual customer price proposals.
Strategic Pricing: Contribute directly to the establishment of the vision, prioritization, and roadmap for pricing initiatives. Participate in the creation of the models that support new price initiatives. Partner with Sales and Marketing to establish pricing around new offerings. Manage and develop staff. Other ad hoc requests as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, or analytics / Master’s degree preferred. 3 to 5 years of work experience in the medical device, biotechnology, or equivalent industry that operates in a high volume environment. 2-5 years of related analytics and pricing experience in high volume and price competitive environment.
Advanced skill level in Excel with the ability to manage large amounts of data; database software, such as Access, preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability synthesize analysis into actionable directives for the business. Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
Sitting for long periods of time; squatting ,reaching; computer work (typing) phone usage; filing; lifting up to 20lbs unassisted.
