Location/Division Specific Information

As our company accelerates its digital technology offerings, a critical organization for our continued future success is Digital Product Management. The digital product management team, led by the Vice President of Commercial Digital Technologies, drives the strategy for developing capabilities and features throughout our multi-billion-dollar ecommerce and content rich digital ecosystem. A new pillar to our online digital experience is the ability to execute science in a connected manner, encompassing IoT connected instruments, connected consumables, cloud-based software, asset management and enhanced integrated service offerings.

Our team is responsible for providing thought leadership, digital infrastructure and development support for digital transformation across all of our diverse businesses. The platform for science team builds and coordinates the creation of sharable capabilities to support our client business units and their customers. You will work closely with business product managers and leaders across the organization with the help of our network of embedded IT Business Relationship Managers. Ultimately you will develop and socialize a product roadmap and work with our Digital Engineering team to deliver value to our customers.

What will you do?

  • You will be a passionate advocate for the value digital transformation will bring to our customers both internal and external.

  • Define and communicate a product vision, strategy and roadmap that aligns with overall business goals, meet customer needs, and contributes to achieving key performance measures

  • Identify synergies across the capabilities requested by our stakeholders, identifying overlaps and opportunities to work in a cross-business unit manner

  • Identify and facilitate scientific workflows which will draw together both the physical and digital capabilities of our organization.

  • Synthesize information from many sources to formulate, test and present strategic proposals for our platform's development.

  • Develop quarterly product roadmaps that align with stakeholder & customer expectations while factoring in budget and resource constraints

  • Actively engage with external customers and internal businesses to understand their needs and how they can best be served through product capabilities

  • Monitor market, competitive, and technology trends and capabilities to shape strategy and roadmaps

  • Prioritize work efforts and provides high-level requirements for product execution teams using scrum methodologies and tools

  • Influence and organize internal groups to bring product roadmap to life including UX, engineering, QA, analytics, legal, business units, marketing and others as needed

  • Establish functional KPIs and monitor on regular basis to determine direction and provide justification for proposed efforts as well as to report results of previous efforts

  • As the 'CEO of your product line' you are expected to work independently and be focused on the delivery of customer value - you won't be alone - we have an excellent team - but it's up to you to provide direction.

How will you get here?

  • 8 years of relevant industry experience with a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Advanced degree or MBA preferred

  • 3+ years Product Management or equivalent experience within the software application environment developing product strategy with track record of roadmap delivery

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong customer focus with demonstrable knowledge of the scientific markets in which our company operates.

  • Track record in working to quantifiable targets and goal orientation

  • Influential communicator and skilled operator in a matrix environment.

  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate priorities and resources across a complex global organization

  • Ability to effectively engage across organizational levels from executives to technical teams

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong executive presence with good presentation skills

  • Global mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on global products that have regional considerations

  • Experience in IoT technologies

  • Experience working with Scientific Instrumentation.

  • Experience developing products across desktop, mobile, kiosk, and other devices

  • Experience working within Agile methodologies
