We are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Global Market Development Senior Manager to join the BioProduction Divisional Marketing team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading and driving global campaigns that span all BioProduction business units to generate awareness and demand for relevant Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions. The successful individual will specifically lead the strategy, planning, management, deployment and promotion of unique and compelling customer-centric content marketing campaigns that drive new customer acquisition, deepen engagement, and motivate customers to take action.

The BioProduction division supports a dynamic and evolving market. Our customers are bringing novel life-saving therapeutics to market, developing new treatments for more diseases. In this environment, our marketing efforts also need to be dynamic and responsive. We need a leader that can turn market insights into thoughtful and impactful marketing strategies that driver preference and increase loyalty. You should have a passion for transforming organizations to be more customer-centric. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing content and marketing initiatives that maximize audience engagement to create and maintain a strong demand generation funnel. Success will require navigation of a global, matrixed organization to gain stakeholder alignment and the ability to manage complex projects that span multiple teams on time and within budget.

  • Assess competitive landscape, segment growth potential and lead annual planning process.

  • Drive development of the global marketing plan including value proposition, segmentation, sales enablement, and marketing mix across all geographies and market segments.

  • Work across division to ensure a customer-centric go-to-market approach.

  • Lead and support a team of marketers to implement long-term and near-term marketing strategies to achieve growth objectives.

  • Execute integrated, multi-channel marketing programs for key market segments

  • Create and curate segment-specific content to help drive awareness, demand, and conversion

  • Define and manage against key performance indicators to gauge performance against goals.

  • Enable sales with robust lead generation funnel, sales tools and training

  • Evaluate, refine and optimize marketing initiatives, to strive to meet best-in-class performance.

  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure alignment on go-to-market initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement in core marketing capabilities.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

  • 6+ years marketing/content marketing experience.

  • Strong marketing acumen and experience in developing marketing strategy including segmentation, competitive analysis, value proposition, communication channels, marketing mix, campaign development, and staging and pacing of tactical programs.

  • Experience leading/working in matrixed structured teams.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

  • Practiced in change management principles and methodologies.

  • Able to build relationships with key individuals necessary for collaboration at all levels.

  • B2B and life science/biopharma experience a plus.
