We are looking for a Sr. Director, Product Portfolio Management supporting our Services Connected programs. This is a new role in Instrument and Enterprise Services that sits under the Services Marketing Center of Excellence reporting to the VP, Service Marketing & Strategy. This role will be responsible for crafting the requirements, processes and infrastructure to build and champion a customer oriented Global Product Portfolio Management organization that drives the upstream marketing of innovative service solutions. The leader will lead all aspects of work for new service solutions & ongoing service product improvement as well as leading the full lifecycle of those solutions. The team for Services Connected is responsible for product development and delivery teams are focused to deliver the minimal viable product requirements that delivers on customer expectations, and market needs. This leader will support the New Service Product Development process, Marketing requirements, and work in conjunction with business units/divisions, functional partners, and marketing counterparts to support the prioritization and commercialization of these service solutions. The leader will also partner with Business Development to ensure that we have a successful Global Go-to-Market strategy, launch support materials and a customer centric approach to drive uptake of these solutions.
Portfolio Strategy Development
Lead the incorporation of market and customer insights to form the product strategy for the overall Services Connected portfolio to drive growth
Develop a product/features/functionality prioritization framework to guide discussions and decisions around the future roadmap of new and improved solutions
New Product definition & Go-to-Market Launch Planning
Drive the team to incorporate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) & market insights gathering to support the successful development & deployment of service product solutions
Guide business success through impactful customer facing product launches, inquisitive lifecycle decisions and evolution of product solutions
Provide key financial oversight: Product price corridors, new product forecasts, AOP investments & returns, reason justifications & team budget management
Focus on laying out a product portfolio vision that is differentiated and delivers outstanding value based on customer frictions points and needs
Coordinate success metrics, and product marketing timeline and commercial launches
Driving Alignment Across Businesses and functions
Lead discussions and alignment with key team members across all functions to ensure success
Drive a high-level of clarity with businesses by sharing key metrics and plans for improvement
Communicate early and often the portfolio strategy, service launch plans, and key success criteria with business leaders and their teams to ensure consensus and support
Product Lifecycle Management & Monitoring
Lead all aspects of the health of the services product portfolio to ensure solutions remain relevant or are updates to evolve with the changing customer needs
Guide team to put in place End-of-Life (EOL) marketing plans that include product migration and service support ramp downs in order to minimize customer and business disruption
Create, implement, supervise and refine Marketing Excellence framework for the Product Portfolio Marketing teams
Develop appropriate leadership forums for reviews and critical issues, team & partner communications
Nurture and develop members of the team
15+ years of Tried experience and knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
Previous experience in leading Global Product Management & Marketing teams
Sales & Software experience a plus
A Services background or solid customer experience background
Marketing product development and launch experience a requirement.
Experience launching global digital, services or technical solutions preferred
Shown business partner influencing outcomes across business divisions and teams
Strong customer engagement attitude and commercial experience
Experience leading large workstreams and ground-breaking initiatives
Strong leadership skills and proven track record to adapt leadership style to different situations and people
Experience working in environments with strong cross functional/Matrix collaboration
Outstanding attention to detail and strong process difficulty with continuous improvement mentality.
