Reporting to the Senior Manager of Content Marketing and Global Communications, the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist (senior specialist) is responsible for creating high-quality global and local marketing copy and assets to engage strategic personas across the buyer's journey: awareness, acquisition, and engagement. The ideal candidate will quickly develop a deep understanding of our Clinical Effectiveness message and products to effectively communicate their impact and value and will be a strategic collaborator for the content roadmap and marketing activities across segments and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Think creatively and critically to support the strategy and development of content assets that support CE brand awareness, acquisition and customer engagement for various marketing tactics (paid and owned social, email marketing, etc.)
Work closely with the Senior Manager and Content Marketing team as well as stakeholders across CE to identify strategic messages and themes for development
Manages special projects linked to strategic initiatives (podcasts, case studies, blog posts, etc.)
Produces persona-driven assets and a regular cadence of high-quality content (videos, infographics, podcasts, eBooks, blog posts, etc.)
Writes, updates, and proofreads short and long-form copy making sure the right message goes to the right audience at the right time. The CMM checks in with management and legal as needed on final approvals
Contributes to regular evaluation and content guidance activities to feed strategic planning and production
Optimizes content for SEO and MQLs with other teams
Participates in the supervision of external resources, like freelance writers, as needed
Ensures compliance with Wolters Kluwer branding, style guides, and legal
Assumes other duties as assigned
Location: Waltham MA
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, public relations, or related field
Master's in Marketing, Communications, or MBA a plus
At least 5 years of experience in a Content Marketing or Marketing Communications Lead role
Demonstrated expertise in content marketing best practices, brand communications, and messaging
Proven track record of developing long and short form content marketing with successful KPIs, for print and online media, including social media
Some healthcare industry experience

Excellent communicator. You communicate as clearly in copy as you do in person -- you are concise, accurate, and effective. You have excellent verbal and written communications and editing skills (writing samples will be required)
Strategic writer. You can quickly deliver thoughtful long form pieces, as well as effective product marketing sell sheets
Digital acumen: You have a deep understanding of digital communication and marketing tools like Marketo and can deliver engaging social media and digital content
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Strong time management skills. You will prioritize projects and effectively communicate status of deliverables against deadlines across segments and functions. Familiarity with project management platforms like Workfront a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with competing priorities and a global audience
Minimal travel as needed
