Raytheon Senior Manager of Integrated Communications in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Senior Manager of Integrated Communications will plan, direct and implement comprehensive and integrated communication strategies that promote Raytheon’s cyber brand. This position requires an individual who is proactive, action-oriented, and curious. In addition, the Senior Manager of Integrated Communications must commit him/herself to gaining a deep understanding of how Raytheon does business, as well as implications/considerations tied to cyber communications. Extensive collaboration and ability to work in a matrixed environment with various communications and business teams is critical to success. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Branding, and the incumbent will partner across the Corporate Affairs and Communications team, and with Raytheon business units to lead and coordinate strategic cyber communications programs and activities. Key Responsibilities will include: Project Management Be a self-starter with autonomous work ethic to execute communications strategies and tactics. Independently prioritize assignments and balance creativity with execution. Team across the communications function and cross-functionally to deliver innovative communications solutions. Effectively influence all levels of management in a fast paced dynamic environment. Integrated Communications Understand and implement communications practices – public relations, advertising, executive, digital and social media, public affairs and community relations based on the company’s business objectives. Demonstrate the value of communications by proactively tying initiatives to the company’s strategy from proposal to results. Share lessons learned and success stories across the Enterprise. Marketing Communications Manage the development and deployment of specific marketing and communications strategies to support the company’s key capabilities and solutions priorities. Manage across the matrix of corporate communication functions and across the lines of business to deliver a comprehensive integrated campaign that represents the full breadth of company offerings. Messaging Development Create and develop key messages and relevant message architectures to showcase Raytheon’s cyber story for a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Competitive Intelligence Gain competitive intelligence in order to monitor best practices and understand industry trends. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Communications, Organizational Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Public Affairs or related disciplines Minimum of 10 years of communications experience External communications experience in a corporate environment D emonstrated capability to create and execute on communications strategies Demonstrated experience interacting with and influence all levels of management Solutions oriented Experienced Public Relations, Public Affairs, Marketing and social media skills Ability to travel as required Outstanding writing skills in corporate communications, public relations, promoting products and capabilities Demonstrated ability to manage through the leadership ranks as well as manage the matrix of cross functional and cross business leaders. Ability to effectively manage and lead peers Desired Qualifications: Raytheon company knowledge Defense industry experience a plus Understanding of cybersecurity Ability to juggle multiple priorities while driving tasks to completion 111458
