Nova Biomedical Senior Accountant in Waltham, Massachusetts
Nova Biomedical has an opening for Senior Accountant in Waltham, MA. Oversee the timely financial closing cycle and prepare consolidated financial statements. Populate and reconcile the financial statements from Nova\'s international subsidiaries and variable interest entities into Adaptive Insights for consolidation. Prepares the elimination calculations and entries for the consolidation of Nova\'s international subsidiaries and variable interest entities. Responsible for debt and interest accounting, amortization of investments in debt securities, lease accounting under ASC 842 and miscellaneous accruals during each accounting close. Monitors the fringe and occupancy pools. and allocations and related accruals and expenses. Approves the accrual entries of the accounts payable staff. Coordinates the RedBook financial package and generates the basic financial statements. Review General Ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness, interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations for corrective action. Manage balance sheet review meetings quarterly to identify issues and verify propriety of general ledger accounts. Monitors equity activities including the tracking and valuation of stock option grants and the amortization of deferred compensation. Prepares miscellaneous cost center budgets for annual operating plan. Prepares workpapers and schedules for the year end external financial statement audit. Perform technical accounting research and prepare memos summarizing conclusions for new sales arrangements and partnerships. Provides general support for financial analysis, tax and treasury functions. Drive continuous process improvement in both departmental procedures and ERP system(SAP). Must have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or related, or foreign degree equivalent, and 24 months of experience as Accountant or related, including 24 months of experience with ERP/SAP System or equivalent. 24 months of experience with general ledger or financial reporting.
