Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. Proposal Specialist in Waltham, Massachusetts
We are currently seeking a Proposal Specialist with strong communication, writing/editing, organizational, and time-management skills to join our team. This role will coordinate and generate proposal and qualification packages for SGH’s Principals and senior technical staff as directed by the Proposal Manager. Key responsibilities include writing custom client- and benefit-focused content for proposals highlighting SGH’s technical capabilities and the firm’s ability to specifically address RFP/Qs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
Write, edit, and proofread content for proposals, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, proposal support materials (including government and standard form templates), and related marketing materials of a complex nature.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with Principals and senior technical staff to prepare proposal materials.
Maintain collateral/materials library on the firm’s CRM/Vision database.
Support corporate marketing communications team on various marketing efforts as needed.
BA/BS (minimum) in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
Four to eight years of experience in proposal development, preferably within the A/E/C industry.
Demonstrate strong writing, oral communication, and proofreading skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and InDesign; knowledge in Deltek Vision.
Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Demonstrate disciplined project and time management skills to meet critical deadlines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, mouse, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
