Commonwealth Financial Network Manager, Outbound Sales Team in Waltham, Massachusetts

We’re looking for a team lead for the Outbound Sales (Growth and Acquisition) team to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll lead a team of sales specialists whose primary focus is to strategically manage our efforts to proactively reach out to prospective financial advisors. The team’s goal is to promote the benefits of bringing advisors’ practices to Commonwealth and to encourage those advisors to meet with our team responsible for closing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the team of sales specialists to ensure effectiveness of outreach efforts and alignment with Commonwealth’s messaging and strategic goals

  • Training the team for the requirements of the job, including the development of scripts and dialogue trees

  • Working closely with other teams to gain traction with advisors and uncover new opportunities to increase our advisor headcount

  • Contacting financial advisors to provide detailed information about Commonwealth’s products, services, and culture to enhance our effectiveness at closing leads

  • Conducting virtual meetings and conference calls with financial advisors or third parties (i.e., recruiters or wholesalers) to discuss Commonwealth

  • Reviewing lead status and data in Salesforce to ensure consistent use of platform and proper understanding of the lead pipeline

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Five years of work experience, primarily at a financial services firm, required

  • Must have experience with the advisory business; knowledge of Commonwealth’s business model preferred

  • Strong presentation, communication, and organization skills required

  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations preferred

  • Sales and management experience required
