Fresenius Medical Care North America Jr Marketing Manager in Waltham, Massachusetts

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Utilizes marketing skills, knowledge and expertise to manage and coordinate assigned marketing projects for Fresenius Kidney Care (FKC), working closely with the Marketing team to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies to support growth of the business and FKC service offerings. Project responsibilities encompass the defined areas of collateral development, professional event management, market research and general marketing, expanding output capabilities and marketing department support and efficiency in all areas.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with marketing team members, creates marketing materials, presentations, or tools, utilizing communication expertise and insights from market research, clinical literature, internal data and various other sources to articulate and drive marketing strategy with a consistent message and style in compliance with department and corporate requirements.

  • Tracks the execution and effectiveness of marketing activities providing senior management with quarterly updates.

  • Meets with internal customers and partners to understand specific business needs related to the marketing of particular services and other related business initiatives and follows-up and investigates areas lacking in clarity to ensure that needs are met.

  • Develops project plans to define the need and audience, develops the message/communication, determines the applicable marketing medium, and the appropriate education if needed.

  • Coordinates launch and dissemination of new materials; paper and electronic, to the appropriate internal or external audience to ensure optimal reception of materials. Contributes to, and assists with, the management of creative durable marketing materials by editing, fact checking, and ensuring the pertinent source attribution.

  • Using basic electronic graphic tools, develops collateral/sales aides and material inventory, tracking the new inventory items to ensure the availability in the required quantities, and communicating the availability of these new items to field sales team and center staff.

  • Assists with the collateral review process:

  • Organizes, summarizes and submitting new collateral materials to the pertinent management review team.

  • Facilitates a pre-review if necessary and documents to expedite the process and increase accuracy and validity.

  • Tracks and communicates original and interim materials to the approvers and coordinators of the approval process.

  • Electronically archives final materials according to the appropriate procedure.

  • Supports and contributes to the development of marketing business plans by analyzing particular markets and recommending marketing initiative options to achieve/meet identified marketing objectives and targets.

  • Interprets, analyzes and reports on marketing impact to determine if chosen concepts and messages are best suited for the desired audience.

  • Maintains in-depth and current knowledge of the competition to help direct sales and marketing focus. Marketing collateral and training materials reflect an awareness of competitive strengths and weaknesses and developed Playbooks discuss competition for each procedural area.

  • Maintains a broad understanding of marketing business issues and information needs pertaining to the company and dialysis businesses, employing best industry practices specific to marketing of procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

EDUCATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing related field required; Advanced Degree desirable

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in general marketing support services, graphics arts, and/or event planning preferably in a healthcare related company

  • Skilled at conceptualizing creative materials to meet business needs

  • Experienced with graphics software such as InDesign and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to manage budgets

  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills and proven leadership experience

  • Team player with ability to work cohesively with other internal and external partners
