The Global Manager, Digital Pathology Business Development is a crucial role in the Global Strategy organization focused on strategic activities enabling our digital pathology business transition toward solution sales and partnerships. Digital Pathology not only includes whole slide imaging scanners but any business opportunity related to digitalized pathology workflow solutions. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, directing, and conducting the Digital Pathology business plan related to assigned tasks.

The Global Digital Pathology Business Development Manager will actively seek strategic customer/partner relationships related to the Digital Pathology business, with the goal of strengthening Evident’s solution offering portfolio in the Digital Pathology market. The incumbent must establish and maintain close collaborative relationships with doctors, doctors’ associations, companies in the Pathology market, administrative agencies, working groups, etc. to ensure that Evident is well positioned to act on developing market needs, trends, etc.

TheGlobal Digital Pathology Business Development Manageris the key contributor to our Evident strategy department for Digital Pathology solutions as well as for related products. The incumbent will analyze market situations and trends, develop a deep knowledge of the market (workflow, customer, competition, customers’ requirements, and overall market trends), and create reports. Primary targeted markets are pathology including digital pathology, and could cover other IVD (Invitro diagnostics) and IVF (Invitro Fertilization) markets, and any other clinical markets using microscopic observations. The incumbent must utilize acquired knowledge and information to propose successful business and portfolio expansion and evangelize them internally and externally.

The Global clinical digital pathology business development manager will support strategic activities designed by Global LS strategy collaborating with Product Managers and regional sales organizations. The activities shall contain PoC (proof of concept), customer interviews, prototype evaluations, gathering VOC (Voice of Customer), VOS (Voice of Sales), market penetration, and internal competence strengthening activities for Evident’s clinical market business, which are not handled by the existing value chain. The activities shall include collaboration with Evident’s IT specialists for digital pathology, evangelizing digital pathology internally, etc.


  • Business development for digital pathology establishing, cultivating, and maintaining collaborations with external personnel and organizations

  • Market analysis, and business proposals

  • Support Global Life Science strategy activities

  • Direct or dotted report to Global Life Science strategy department; report contains strategic activities progress, support activities, market analysis, etc.

  • Key customer management or management support

  • Prepare for and attend conventions and tradeshows, sales and marketing meetings, trainings, national sales meetings, and other internal meetings including global meetings for strategy and PRM (Product Road Map) planning

  • Write articles for publication targeted towards application solutions utilizing our solution

  • Possibly attend conferences and provide technical papers and presentations

  • Other job duties and projects assigned as relevant



  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Medicine, or related field.

  • Minimum of one year in a business development role, or related experience.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Relevant experience in customer relations.

  • Market knowledge of IVD (particularly digital pathology).

  • Intimate understanding of products within the assigned tasks and related product lines.

  • Intimate understanding of target market, customer, workflow, application, vendors, associations and agencies.

  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects while working independently to meet deadlines

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively interact at a senior executive level.

  • Significant experience with product line strategy development and execution.

  • Able to travel 10-30% as required, including internationally.

  • Located in the U.S.


  • Higher education (ex. MBA).

  • Intimate understanding of products within the assigned tasks and related product lines.

  • Intimate understanding of target market, customer, workflow, application, vendors, associations and agencies.

  • Significant experience with product line strategy development and execution.
