Wolverine Worldwide Field Marketing Manager - Saucony in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Field Marketing Manager supports the Saucony brand by managing the Field Marketing Program with the goal of growing brand awareness and engagement. Leads the team to engage with consumers 365 days a year and bring the brand to life in every interaction. Works to gather information to bring greater understanding around how consumers are interacting with the brand and the outdoors in order to help inform strategic development.

  • Work closely with leadership to develop new and clearly defined objectives and roles for the field marketing team. Develop and implement Field Marketing program based on brand business strategy that brings the brand to life on the ground with customers and consumers.

  • Manage team’s implementation of marketing programs to ensure seamless execution.

  • Disseminate and gather information to and from with the goal of having a meaningful conversation with consumers 365 days a year. Develop and manage weekly and monthly reporting standards for the team. Measure program results and adapt programs to better meet consumer needs.

  • Participate in retail marketing/field research to ensure the brand presence in store is fitting the new direction/brand platform.

  • Train team on brand platform, products and programs.

  • Communicate to the team on the implementation of various brand-marketing efforts that take place on a national and regional level.

  • Recruit and network for new team throughout the year to build talent pipeline for the team and Saucony brand.

  • Coach and engage team in ongoing professional and personal development. Building the future leaders of the brand for sales, marketing, product, management, and other critical career paths within the organization.

  • Manage coverage strategy for the brand and sales accounts.

  • Management of the field marketing kit program, that allows the team to show up in an integrated fashion regionally.

  • Field Service Budget management/influence- Manage budgets for all team members.

  • Work cross-functionally with Field Marketing Manager of the brand to manage and coordinate Performance Group Field Marketing Program for National Accounts.

  • Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years marketing and/or sales experience

  • 2+ years in a management role

  • Comprehensive background in retail preferred

  • An enthusiastic and energetic leader with management experience including handling differing personalities – a natural team player with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

  • Excellent leader and coach of people. Excellent recruiter, always looking for and attracting the best talent and training them to move up within the organization quickly.

  • Strong background in the implementation of consumer marketing initiatives including program planning, in store events, consumer/sporting events and visual merchandising.

  • Experience in the footwear and/or apparel industry strongly recommended.

  • An outgoing and personable individual who welcomes daily interactions with accounts and consumers.

  • Highly motivated and organized – featuring strong project management, time management and attention to detail.

  • Ability and willingness to present – possessing strong written and speaking skills.

  • A track record of effectively managing a budget and showing ROI.

  • MS Outlook, Windows, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.

  • Valid driver's license in good standing.

  • 80% of the job is on the road travel.

  • Ability and availability to work on nights and weekends due to retail promotions and events is a must.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office and retail store environments, as well as indoor and outdoor athletic events. Frequent travel required.
