How will you make an impact?

The Commercial Product Manager, Diagnostic Products is responsible for serving as the product expert for Diagnostic testing products for the Research and Safety Division (RSD). This is a cross-functional role reporting to the Vice President of Portfolio Management. This person will directly work with our field sales organization, marketing, supply chain, finance, and the Healthcare (HMD) portfolio management team with respect to a defined product portfolio, supporting market analysis, planning, and commercial selling strategy. Key success metrics of this position are revenue growth, portfolio profitability, key initiative support, and new product introductions.

What will you do?

  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for RSD teams for questions and guidance related to in scope products

  • In concert HMD Portfolio Management ensure successful communication plans and awareness campaigns for existing products

  • Champion tools and processes to support understanding and growth of Diagnostic testing products in research markets (Academic, Pharma, Biotech, Industrial)

  • Serves as primary portfolio liaison for Canada clinical market support

  • Work across functions to support business opportunities for revenue growth

  • Maintain close ties to voice of customer and feed research back into the HMD and RSD relevant functional areas (Portfolio, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Coordinate marketing communications activities and plans with Marketing

  • Performs other duties as assigned

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in diagnostics or other clinical testing product areas

  • Minimum of 1-year customer-facing experience with diagnostic products

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional regional marketing and sales teams.

  • Self-starter with the ability to execute plans with minimal supervision

  • Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and embracing changes

  • Ability to work in matrix organizational structure.

  • Advanced skills in MS-Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project),

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts.

  • Travel expected 25-50%
