Boston Engineering Corporation Client Relations Executive – Business Development in Waltham, Massachusetts

If so, we have an open position for an experienced business development professional to drive company growth and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. Experience selling into the Commercial/Industrial or Defense space is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business by developing and executing strategic account plans

  • Understand client business challenges and identify opportunities for Boston Engineering to support their critical product innovation goals

  • Manage all new leads assigned to you to produce new business

  • Ability to sell value and expand the Boston Engineering footprint into an organization

  • Qualify all new opportunities to ensure fit for Boston Engineering

  • Collaborate on project scope development with business Unit Director for prospective clients

  • Collaborate on proposal development with Business Unit Director and Project Management team for prospective clients

  • Lead customer contract negotiations with assistance from our Senior Leadership Team

  • Ability to cross-sell solutions to prospective clients

  • Manage the end-to-end solution sales process by working closely with marketing, project managers, and senior executives

     Requisite Skills:

  • Ability to think outside the box to add value and create strong relationships with clients.

  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening

  • Organized with outstanding follow-up capabilities

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve revenue quota consistently

  • Ability to professionally present to users, influencers, and decision-makers in small or large settings at various levels within an organization

  • Maintain prompt and accurate sales pipeline forecasting in a customer relationship management (CRM) or related sales system

  • Strong collaboration skills to leverage the subject matter experts within Boston Engineering to achieve revenue targets

  • Team-oriented with the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any business or technical field

  • Five years minimum experience

  • Proven business development success in the professional services industry

  • Proven experience utilizing solution-selling techniques to the executive level for consulting services

  • This is not a transactional sales role
