The Apparel Designer is responsible to design and create technical performance apparel and accessories that meet the needs of the consumer and are consistent with Saucony brand DNA.
Design men’s and women’s high performance and lifestyle apparel & accessories, taking into consideration seasonal creative direction, market trends, and consumer needs.
Work closely with materials team to develop innovative and new materials and trims, with an emphasis on sustainability.
Partner with development and tech design to ensure clear communication of fit and construction intent; provide detailed technical design illustrations.
Supply all relevant information for BOM creation.
Maintain and update CAD boards and tech sketches throughout product development and in a timely manner.
Participate in competitive research and fashion trends, apply findings through Saucony brand filter.
Create graphics as needed, comment on and provide direction for graphic strike-offs.
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience required
Knowledge of design process and ability to perform design skills such as: concept ideation, drawing/sketching, cad rendering.
Comprehensive understanding of technical garment construction.
Knowledge and experience with advanced manufacturing methods.
Ability to translate athlete findings into product solutions.
Ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team.
Advanced skill level in Adobe Illustrator.
Graphic design experience is a plus.
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
