Sentinel Benefits & Financial Marketing Specialist in Wakefield, Massachusetts

L ocation Note: This a hybrid role for our Wakefield, MA office.

The Purpose of Your Role:

The Marketing Specialist is a critical member of the Marketing team who is primarily responsible for activities relating to communications, events, social media, sponsorships, Public Relations and the firm’s public website. This role is the digital creative lead behind promoting the Sentinel Benefits brand to our prospects and customers.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company’s customer base, and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our firm.

What you'll bring to Sentinel:

  • Develop and execute a webinar strategy that increases participation in an effort to generate leads, establish thought leadership and improve customer retention rates

  • Drive social media strategy and activity to expand Sentinel Benefits’ footprint on target channels

  • Plan, communicate and execute all prospect and client events, including timelines, venues, vendors, speakers, agendas, promotions, budgets and invitations from ideation to execution

  • Create and edit engaging communications that tell the Sentinel story across formats such as PowerPoint, the company website and blog

  • Develop and communicate marketing tactics and results and project recommendations to management and executives

  • Manage MAP audience segmentations and process improvements

  • Improve visibility online and increase demand/website traffic via search engine optimization (SEO) to deliver conversions

    What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Analyze the success of each event and propose creative new improvements

  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific social networks to expand our brand messaging and to create a cohesive presence with consistent engagement

  • Ensure high email deliverability, reputation (sender score) and performance

  • Maintain and manage all aspects of the public website to ensure overall quality, accuracy and relevancy

  • Improve visibility online and increase demand/website traffic via search engine optimization (SEO) to deliver conversions

  • Basic information layout skills for driving creation of clear, visually appealing, and compelling emails and landing pages

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, client experience, customer service, product management, etc.) and provide support for their initiatives

  • Develop and communicate marketing tactics and results and project recommendations to management and executives

  • Maintain inventory of promotional collateral and give-a-ways

    What you need to have:

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of experience

  • Experience in event marketing or event planning is a must

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong project planning, scheduling and tracking skills

  • Proficient with social media tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook

  • Ability to communicate and write effectively on a wide range of topics

  • Creative and self-motivated

    Nice to haves:

  • Ability to juggle competing priorities while keeping track of the details

  • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Knowledge of social management tools a plus

  • Familiarity with HTML

  • Knowledge of marketing automation a plus
