As Experience Strategy Lead, your digital strategy and customer experience expertise will be pivotal in shaping our clients’ north-star, inspiring the design of bold solutions and ensuring all our work drives impact to their business.

Verndale is fully remote enabled, and we embrace the evolving definition of the workplace. This position can be remote, or hybrid out of our Boston location.
Day-to-day, your role will concentrate on guiding strategy across key client accounts, as a strategic thought partner to advise our clients, and an orchestrator of cross-functional efforts who inspires our design, tech and digital marketing teams, which includes:
Uncovering, exploring and finding the story in the data that ensures Verndale’s strategic recommendations are informed opinions based on evidence
Building customer profiles, mapping customer journey’s and identifying pain points where a digital experience can be re-imagined
Designing and leading workshops with internal teams and/or clients; facilitating conversations, championing unexpected insights to inspire creative solutions
Developing focused and insightful briefs and delivering briefings that inspire Design and Digital Marketing teams to bold experience solutions
Identifying cultural, category and customer trends, extracting implications for client’s business and imperatives for action
Helping build business case to validate commercial impact of experience transformation, or digital product innovation
Consulting with clients to create eco-systems/full view of marketing activity and identify opportunities for evolution to future-proof their business
Participate in agency new business pursuits, guiding strategic direction, providing insight on client challenges and devising potential solution that reflects Verndale as an industry leading digital experience agency
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, diving into the action, iterating on ideas, designs by sharing expertise and driving collective success for clients and colleagues alike
This pivotal role requires a depth of expertise in Experience Strategy or Digital Strategy and related fields (10-12 years), including a track record of impactful work experience and professional ingenuity – which means you are:
A digital experience expert and passionate problem solver, who sees the whole picture and has a proven pedigree at defining a digital strategy that delivers on business and brand ambitions
A systems thinker with a strong background or practiced expertise in human-centered design and UX methods, including stakeholder interviews, customer research, plus strategy outputs such as personas, customer journey mapping,
An analytical mind who is well versed in interrogating data and seeking understanding through research, whether primary observation or secondary exploration, to identify key segments, gain insight into consumer behavior, category opportunity and potential for business impact
A mix of left and right brain, bringing both the rational business acumen that sells in possibilities, and the creative brand storytelling that convinces people to buy
A practiced presenter, who can craft a compelling story and deliver a persuasive POV to colleagues and clients, at the Exec level
An all-around professional with exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
Familiarity and experience in DXP’s such as Optimizely is ideal, not required
A combination of experience or exposure to both B2B and B2C industries is a plus
