Contribute to fundamentally improving people’s Health & Well-being, through meaningful innovation. We have a unique opportunity for a Business Development Manager - Spine Surgery to be part of a dynamic team within in the Image Guided Therapy Systems business – a market leader in its field.
You are responsible for
Driving the growth of Image Guided Therapy in the new fields of Spine Surgery by analyzing, seeding, developing and iterating on a compelling value proposition in the North American market. The role of Business Development Manager –Spine Surgery involves implementing the business strategy for this domain, explore new business models, building & maintaining a customer network and work closely with partners and the local Philips marketing and sales team.
Establishing and growing the Spine Image Guided Therapy Systems business in the North America market
Develop and implement innovative business proposals, programs and concepts in collaboration with Philips North America marketing, sales and service teams and industry partners
Set up reference sites & manage Key Opinion Leaders, define and execute strategy to leverage clinical ambassadors as an integral component for market awareness and leadership
Understanding and improving the integral proposition in Spine Surgery based on market- and customer insights, including value proposition, supporting claims, pricing strategy, offer design and target customers and markets
Identify and successfully engage with new customers, coordinate and monitor all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to sales close
Provide insights to improve and influence current and future solutions offerings and define the launch and business development strategy of new products in the local market

The IGT-S organization is responsible for global marketing, development and manufacturing of image guidance solutions. You will be part of the Clinical Science, Innovation and Business Development department that is responsible to develop meaningful innovation for our customers and create new growth opportunities for our business. IGT-S is the global market leader and at the heart of Philips Healthcare. This position is home-based.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A solid experience in medical equipment/devices. Ability to drive market share gain through innovative programs and products that are broader than just the product. You can take and distill customer needs into tangible product and solution offerings that would influence a customer’s behavior. Furthermore you can drive actions through influence management as well as work just as well in:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Science (Life, Engineering, Biomedical, Medical) or business degree (preferably MBA)
At least 5 years of experience in healthcare in an international/global business environment in business development or marketing in spine surgical imaging and navigation
Experience with business development, value proposition creation, and product launches is a must
Significant knowledge of imaging and navigation in the spine surgery market place required
Proven ability to identify new opportunities to create value, work with multiple and diverse markets and implement out of the box solutions in practice
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in an aggressive market in order to achieve and exceed targets
Display strong social and communication skills, ability to build relationships with key decision makers
Highly entrepreneurial and eager with a natural affinity for healthcare business, and a market and customer driven approach to product creation
Strong analytical skills and the passion to drive business growth. Ability to think creatively and pragmatically.
Collaborative team member with the ability to work across many stakeholders, influence others, present convincing arguments and build and maintain extensive networksa team as you can individually.
