Program Manager– Monitoring as a Service

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

The Program Manager, Monitoring as a Service administers and guides the XaaS (Anything (or everything) as a Service) activities of programs (pre and post implementation) consisting of multiple and related projects executed by performing organizations and/or staff, ensuring execution is in line with the business strategy. Supervises resources, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. In addition to managing delivery objectives, he/she will have responsibility for customer satisfaction and the client relationships required for a successful program.

Dimensions related to Know-How, Complexity, and Accountability:

  • Responsible for coordinating a harmonized portfolio of services $513m of POS services revenue and $137m of recurring revenue (ARR)

  • Review business models of offerings to ensure the correct value props belong in the appropriate offers

  • Drive execution of services portfolio to vision

  • Coordination of BU and market resources to drive to a complete portfolio that meets the needs of our market

  • Set and modify the go-to-market sales strategy.

  • Daily manage key deliverables and hold people accountable for deliverables

  • In depth knowledge of relevant markets and industries

  • Familiarity of current Capabilities, Assets and Positions of cluster

  • Familiarity with business strategy and the product portfolio

  • Teams up with others to deliver better solutions; avoids reinventing the wheel by seeking best practice from others to transform business, create new markets and lead business model innovations

  • Encourages others and supports new ideas and solutions

  • Challenges people inside and outside the (own) organization, in order to act consistently with values

  • Confidently makes decisions regardless of not having all the data to continue with speed

You are responsible for:

  • Drives business strategy creation and execution for a specific Business or Business Group in the market

  • Has responsibility and authority to contribute to the financial results for the business, with specific oversight for the accountability for profitability, the measurement and control of non-conformance during the lifecycle (term) of the business.

  • Builds and maintains the program organization, chooses the ways of working, and defines the interfaces with other functions

  • Defines the portfolio of programs and projects and their goals, in consultation with management and relevant stakeholders, as input to the performing organization to manage the project pipeline, estimates the budgets and risks and appoints the Program/Project Managers in agreement with general or business management

  • Keeps up to date with the evolving business and application domain in order to optimize the goals of each program and maximize the synergy

  • Deploys Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and makes the program organization efficient and transparent, in line with business and program processes

  • Ensures cross-pollination, maintains a historical database for estimates of future programs, manages lessons learned, incorporates continuous improvement, facilitates harmonization across functions and departments

  • Provides business management with regular program performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions, reports

  • Gives direction and enables complex, integral programs, interacts with multiple Businesses and / or Knowledge Centers inside and outside Philips

  • Refining, communicating, and realizing the vision of the XaaS program in the market

  • Defining and maintaining a roadmap covering the development of all key aspects of the business

  • Lead the effort to operationalize the XaaS program into a standard market operating business

  • Identifying rapidly changing external and internal circumstances and adapt accordingly

  • Ensuring that a viable go-to-market strategy is being executed

  • Secure the control points needed to establish a viable business

  • Managing internal and external stakeholders to secure buy in

  • Initiating and overseeing projects needed to build and scale XaaS in the market

This role will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future in the exciting world of managed services. You should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly targets.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • All candidates considered must have experience selling Managed Services, Consulting Services, or Healthcare software into the payer or provider space.

  • 10+ years’ experience selling software, hosting, or managed services into healthcare clients.

  • Expert in Patient Monitoring, Professional and Managed Services, and/or IT Solutions practice area. Be conversant in Managed Services related topics, methodologies, industry trends, and core technologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Domain knowledge and understanding of the relevant disciplines

  • Knowledge of project management methods in Philips (e.g. PMBOK) and of estimation techniques (resources, time and risks) for the relevant functions / disciplines

  • Knowledge of the organization’s capabilities on program management (from the historical database) for future programs, capturing lessons learned, incorporating continuous improvement, facilitating harmonization across functions and departments

  • Knows and applies the guidelines for Sponsors and Stakeholders of projects

  • Demonstrated experience of adequate soft skills

  • Manages multi-business, cross-functional programs

  • Responsible for synergy between projects within the program

  • Influencing change

  • Practical experience with lean startup, corporate venturing, business development, product development, delivery, and solutions

  • Influences the funding of all projects and investments in the program

  • Responsible for synergy between the projects within the program
