Philips Head of Demand Planning - North America in United States of America - Home Based, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Balance the demand of and sales to customers with production capacities of the involved factories to improve sales recognition with the lowest possible inventory levels.

You are responsible for

  • Provide leadership to the global Demand Planning, & S&OP teams

  • Own the creation of Sales, Marketing, Consensus forecast for the assigned planning horizon of respective responsibility in scope, by reviewing the statistical and AI/ML baseline forecast and enriching it with all relevant input from Sales, Customers, Customer Project Managers, Supply/Operations, Marketing, Finance and adjacent functions

  • Improve autonomous demand planning, ensuring alignment with Supply Chain Analytics to continuously improve the algorithms

  • Ensure processes for collection of input for phase-in/out & promotions and manage the underlying process for the market and/or customers

  • Lead conversations with relevant counterparts, propose forecast adjustments and challenge assumptions underpinning input

  • Enable all relevant functions in preparing, planning, communicating and revising forecast for Customer Forecast Review Meeting, Business Integration Meeting and/or Market Leadership meeting.

  • Own the monthly short/medium/long term Integrated S&OP process

  • Deploy the single agreed plan to all functions (Sales, Marketing, F&A, Integrated Supply Chain)

  • Define and agree on availability performance and inventories

  • Drives a PDCA cycle on deviations from the plan (BIAS, supply performance, margin)

  • Facilitates decision making around portfolio, while sticking to the defined #SKU targets

  • Builds actively networks with key contacts in- and outside Philips to keep abreast of new developments/insights

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • BA/BS Degree required, Masters Degree highly preferred

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certified

  • 10+ years of related experience in multiple areas of Supply Chain

  • Successful track record working in a cross functional organization

  • Experience in influencing and inspiring change within Commercial functions

  • Solid understanding on ERP systems, JDA Demand and overall IT planning landscape

  • Certified as Lean practitioner
