In this role, you have the opportunity to
develop and execute the global Services & Solutions Delivery (S&SD) communication plans in line with Philips’ reputation to become a leader in health technology. You will be managing the activation of a number of integrated communications activities and interact with various (senior) stakeholders at different levels, different parts, different cultures and different personalities, which makes your role a truly global role.
You are responsible for
Globally managing a wide variety of internal and external communication activities and tactics around strategy execution, such as town halls, manager calls, leadership meetings, presentations, talking points, leadership messages, video content, web content, announcements, intranet/SharePoint content, and newsletters.
Preparing and delivering the internal and external communication strategy and plans for S&SD.
Executing on the chosen strategic communication tactics to our employees at all levels in the organization.
Creating content that drives engagement with our employees and key stakeholder groups.
Developing content and key messaging and bringing in best practice approaches to internal and external communications, especially in digital channels, like Yammer.
Working in a fast-paced environment to support the business to actively execute (corporate) communication strategies.
Creating and maintaining appropriate and consistent brand and voice for programs across all channels.
Evaluating, statistically, the effectiveness of our chosen communication strategies and tactics in order to continuously improve our communication efforts.
Creating and enhancing the S&SD Communication Playbook to improve knowledge sharing.
Managing the Communications activity calendar, keep it updated and make balanced decisions in which activities to prioritize, support and execute.
Managing communication agencies when needed.
You are a part of
Our Change Management and Communications team in the Transformation Office within S&SD, though the role also requires close collaboration with the North America Brand and Communications Team and S&SD leadership Team, in order to correctly plan, create, and swiftly execute communication strategies, programs and tactics to support the S&SD business and its approximately 14,000 employees.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Communications or related field required.
Communication Management training, experience, or certification.
5 plus years of corporate communication experience, managing complex communications processes across a matrixed organization, preferably in Healthcare, Service, Solutions
Excellent command of English (both verbally and written)
Excellent presentation skills
Experience with different online channels, social media
Basic knowledge of related disciplines outside communications
A healthy curiosity about what's going on within an organization and know how to put out your feelers to the right places and translate the obtained information into internal communication.
Able to look for new and engaging ways to communicate and stimulate multi way communications
Innovative thinking to improve the effectiveness of our communication towards various stakeholders of the S&SD organization. You are aware and understand how to deal with different stakeholder groups and their communications needs
A high degree of social competence, communication skills and emotional intelligence.
Experience in leading communication projects
Creating professional relationships with the right integrity is in your DNA (especially needed in times when confidential communication needs to be prepared).
Like to set up and oversee, while you can also execute with an eye for detail
Positive can-do mentality as the amount of work can be challenging at times.
Ability to work independently in current times of working from home and team members working in different time-zones
