Location/Division Specific Information

The (e)Learning Manager is part of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) which accelerates innovation and improves productivity through process, portable and environmental solutions that take technology from the lab to the line and the field for life sciences manufacturing, industrial and safety applications. This individual will drive learning theory innovation and thought leadership by defining and developing strategy for learning effectiveness and business impact for CAD

How will you make an impact?

As part of the Divisional Marketing Team you will contribute to the Sales and Marketing teams' success by providing eLearning to support the sales process of all CAD product lines and deliver innovative and engaging sales training programs through a variety of formats. These programs will enable our sales teams to sell more effectively and consistently. The successful candidate will act as a training resource to the Marketing team to align training materials with marketing programs that will lead to revenue, improved customer engagement, and growth. The (e) Learning Manager will work closely with the wider Marketing team and will possess a blend of business ownership, in person and digital events expertise, ability to influence matrixed stakeholders, agility, and communication clarity and will inspire with data & metrics. He/she will work in partnership with commercial leaders, regional sales training leads, and the extended training team to develop and implement training programs.

What will you do?

  • Evaluate existing curricula for effectiveness and instructional soundness, evaluate goals and objectives, and then plan the strategic approach for each training engagement to provide faster learning, better memory retention, and more direct application of learning

  • Creatively apply extensive knowledge of adult learning theories, user-centric design, and business and organizational acumen to develop innovative and engaging performance improvement programs

  • Collaborate with groups of cross-functional business stakeholders and subject matter experts to manage the instructional design and development process for online training materials to support new product introductions, service offerings, course updates, current in market portfolio and onboarding initiatives for technical employees and customers.

  • Support development of an annual training plan, adapting global initiatives to support regional needs, assessing the effectiveness of the current approach to training and implementing suggestions for continuous improvement

  • Support development and implement assessments of knowledge proficiency & learning reinforcement across the curriculum using a variety tools

  • Elaborate, facilitate, implement and deliver the sales training and onboarding curriculum with proficiency assessment and certification programs as defined by the annual training plan via the web, and e-learning platform to complement classroom & virtual classroom delivery

  • Analyze and report on training utilization, and key performance metrics for all CAD training content.

  • Control and manage training budget.

  • Assess opportunities to leverage in-house training content in Customer facing application and spearhead the development of a deployment model and business case in partnership with Marketing leadership.

  • Liaise with external suppliers (creative agencies, media vendors, etc.) to design, produce and deliver sales training assets.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Instructional Design (BA) or related field; will consider equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design, curriculum generation with emphasis on web-based training modules.

  • Experience in leading projects of extended-, cross functional- and cross regional or global scope

  • Experience with Docebo preferred

  • Basic graphics and video creation/editing experience preferred.


Domestic and International travel 5% or less of the time.

  • eLearning authoring tools and experience in script writing, video and podcast generation.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage with digital technology for both internal and external stakeholders benefit.

  • Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with marketing and other creative teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Participate in relevant user forums, conferences and online communities to stay current on best practices and new product offerings.
