Job Summary:

An imperative for RMD is to grow its international market opportunities to support achievement of its business and financial goals. Increasingly, growth in the international Defense and Aerospace environment is predicated on our ability to partner with international customers to develop local industrial capabilities consistent with their sovereign industrial policies and expectations. In practical terms this requires the development of local supply chains, establishment of military industry partnerships, utilization of national military industry talent (i.e. Jobs), and the transfer of technology, IP, tools and processes to global industry. Industrialization offset projects currently exceed $1B of contractual obligations over the next 5 years, with follow on projects in excess of $5B in new industrialization initiatives as a result of contract awards in excess of $20B.

This role will report directly to the RMD VP of Global Industrialization. This position will be located in MA.

Responsibilities To Anticipate:

  • Work with cross-functional project teams to implement RMD’s global industrialization strategy and align it with RMD’s global supply chain strategy, relevant mission area/product strategies, and country specific industrialization strategies.

  • Collaborate with the VP of Industrialization and across mission area and cross-functional project teams to assess and define the details of conceptual strategies designed by RMD offset teams.

  • Focus on bringing efficiency in execution, spanning RMD co-production/co-development initiatives, and 2nd sourcing opportunities.

  • Interface with external customers and partners as part of a project team engagement

  • The efforts this role and project teams are engaged in have been years in the making and are a new effort for RMD. Financial/WBS and R&Rs are not presently established for this role or approach, and this role will be partly responsible to develop and implement this new way of doing business for the project teams. Lessons learned from the initial efforts will inform future efforts in a way that will be a positive impact on RMD's ability to negotiate these types of proposals to win business, and achieve long term, significant financial objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Contracts, Law, Business, Finance or related field, and ten (14) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and twelve (12) years of relevant experience

  • Experience with US Government contracts/subcontracts

  • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance

  • Ability to identify and shape innovative defense capture opportunities

  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARs, and commercial Terms and Conditions

  • Experience with proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and change management, Competitive Contracting, Other Transactions, Intellectual Property, and Collaborative Agreements

  • Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding, and people development skills

  • Ability to develop effective relationships with internal/external customers based on understanding and trust

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong work initiative and ability to adapt to new situations and ideas

  • Track record of achieving desired results

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity

  • Master’s or Juris doctor Degree
