Capture Integrator for Strategic Missile Defense

Job Summary:

A Capture Integrator is a two to three-year rotational assignment for seasoned capture managers who have significant experience in managing large, complex captures. A Capture Integrator is assigned to each RMD Strategic Business Unit (SBU) with the primary responsibility to achieve the SBU’s yearly booking’s plan. This is done by transferring their knowledge in winning competitive proposals, securing sole source captures, and instructing and mentoring Capture Managers and Capture & Proposal Teams on all aspects of positioning to win. Capture Integrators work with Capture Managers and their team to develop a Capture Strategy. The Capture Integrator will be measured on success of new bookings similar to their assigned SBU partner, and progress in shaping and positioning out-year pursuits.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Serve as a direct liaison between RMD CMX and the assigned strategic business unit for all capture activities. Engage with SBU President, R&C SMD Defense Capabilities and Solutions Executive, and their leadership teams to execute their Bookings Plan through shaping of opportunities and winning new business.

  • Primary focus of the Capture Integrator will be on the key capture for the SBU as defined by the New Business Assessment (NBA) report.

  • Work with the assigned SBU and capture manager to align capture strategy and investment.

  • Work with the businesses to ensure they have a robust pipeline and that data is accurately reflected in the RMD Enterprise Raytheon Pipeline Manager (ERPM) tool.

  • Engage Capture Managers and teams to deliver bookings in accordance with SBU’s AOP and shape/position for future bookings as identified in the Long Range Plan (LRP) 5-year plan

  • Engage Capture Managers to ensure complete capture plans are prepared and capture execution (technical, programmatic and NBI) is reflective of the plan.

  • Drive the SBU efforts to increase Competitive Win Rate and timely sole source awards.

  • Focus Attention across CBTs and IBTs on Growth

  • Work with Capture Managers to ensure the business case maximizes the opportunity to consider all discretionary investments

  • Challenge all aspects of capture strategy / business model approach to elevate outcome

  • Capture and effectively communicate lessons learned across business and enterprise.

  • Coach Capture Managers and Capture & Proposal Teams in following or tailoring of RMD Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and the Winning New Business Guide

  • Chair Capture Readiness Assessments (CRA) to maximize Pwin

  • Report independent, accurate, timely and actionable status to RMD R&C VP, R&C SMD Defense Capabilities & Solution Executive, and the SBU President.

  • Facility and/or contribute to Black Hat Reviews and Win Strategy Workshops

  • Chair Blue Team 1 to Ensure Capture Planning and Win Strategy

  • Contribute to Price to Win Reviews

  • Chair Blue Team 2 to Ensure Solution Maturity and Offer Competitiveness

  • Serve as Source Selection Authority (SSA) on Pink and Red Team Reviews

  • Work with Capture Managers to ensure Gate packages are high quality and compliant to IPDS

  • Chair Gold Team Review to Confirm Proposal Readiness for Final Submittal

  • Participate in proposal Orals Planning and Coaching

Preferred location is Tucson, AZ, Huntsville, AL or Boston MA area but flexibility to be remote and/or hybrid. Some occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Math, Science or related field

  • 12 or more years’ experience with strategic planning and business development experience, or 10+ years with a Master’s degree

  • 6 or more years of experience with capture management; preferably with operating in the DOD marketplace

  • Prior experience with the entire Capture and Proposal Management cycle

  • Capture management experience, leading pursuits worth at least $100M

  • Experience with leadership, team building, management, and organizational skills

  • Experience with negotiation and financial business case development

  • Prior experience with determining value added discriminators

An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance.

  • RTX Intermediate or Advanced Capture Manager certification (or equivalent external certification)
