POSITION SUMMARY The Audio-Visual Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading AV support for all programs, events, and meetings in addition to assisting with all elements of classroom set up. This role co-leads a team of associates in partnership with the AV Supervisor and Production Manager. The AV Lead is also responsible for determining equipment needs and training staff and end users on how to operate AV equipment properly and safely. Accountabilities - Assume a leadership role on the team, encouraging staff to be engaged, motivated, and efficient in supporting Kripalu\'s mission. - Responsible for leading shift coverage of day-to-day operations for AV and program support. Ensure effective communication during shift changes. - Assist with the preparation, planning and execution of department operations. - Work with the AV Supervisor and Production Manager to develop and maintain departmental systems regarding ordering, receiving, distribution, inventory, repair, and maintenance of supplies and equipment. - Set up classroom and AV equipment for all programs, events, and meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, seating, yoga props and program supplies, installation and maintenance of microphones, speakers, display devices, projectors, televisions, video cameras, and computers. - Set up and engineer live concerts and livestream programs. - Provide AV system training to staff, faculty, and assistants. - Interface directly with presenters, presenter assistants, and guests, providing a high level of customer service. - Understand and troubleshoot A/V issues, procedures, and workflows, completing tasks in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. - General office duties as assigned (i.e. paperwork, record keeping, filing, photocopying, printing) - Special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Strong leadership skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently - Excellent communication and customer service skills; Positive attitude - Takes initiative and follows through on directed projects - Basic Word, Outlook, and Excel skills with knowledge of MAC and Windows Operating Systems - Knowledge of live audio, video, and post-production systems. - Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS - Associate degree or equivalent experience operating audio-visual equipment for live events to include lectures, concerts and special programming. - Prior experience with livestreamed events and web-based meeting platforms. - Prior experience in leadership roles - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or work on feet for extended periods - Must have a driver\'s license and pass a background check - Willingness to work evenings and weekends essential
