Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health Audio Visual Technician in Stockbridge, Massachusetts

Salary Range: \$18.00 Hourly Onwards POSITION SUMMARY The Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for providing AV support for all programs, events, and meetings in addition to assisting with all elements of classroom set up. The AV tech is also responsible for determining equipment needs and training end users on how to operate AV equipment properly and safely. Accountabilities - Set up classroom and AV equipment for all programs, events, and meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, seating, yoga props and program supplies, installation and maintenance of microphones, speakers, display devices, projectors, televisions, video cameras, and computers. - Set-up and engineer live concerts. - Set-up and support livestream programs. - Provide AV system training to faculty and assistants. - Anticipate the needs of faculty and guests and provide excellent customer service. - Understand and follow AV procedures and workflows, completing tasks in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. - Effectively troubleshoot A/V issues. - Complete equipment inspection, repair and preventive maintenance as assigned. - Assist with inventory management and upkeep of AV shop. - Provide coverage or perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, within Production and in other areas of the organization when needed. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently - Excellent communication and customer service skill; Positive attitude - Takes initiative and follows through on directed projects MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS - Associates degree or formal education in a related trade school - Minimum of 2 years\' experience running and maintaining audio visual equipment, including concert set-up, recording, and multi-media set-up - Knowledge of live audio reinforcement, audio and video recording, and post-production. - Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft DAW Applications. - Knowledge of Livestreaming Software Programs. OBS, WireCast, Vmix, etc. - Working knowledge of Mac & PC OS computers - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel - Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies - Must have a driver\'s license, pass a background check and physical exam - Willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential, as is the flexibility to adjust schedule according to the needs of the events. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or work on feet for extended periods VALUED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Prior non-profit experience. - Prior experience with live streamed events and web-based meeting platforms.
