Sodexo Senior Manager, Community Relations in SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts

Sodexo School Services is seeking a Communications & Community Relations Specialist to work in large school district located in Springfield, MA. Springfield Public Schools operates in a total of 60+ schools in the City of Springfield.
The ideal candidate must have strong written, verbal and presentation skills. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated ability to navigate through highly political and community-based environment in the Springfield Public Schools System. These duties include building relationships among constituencies, including government officials, businesses, church groups, foundations and community organizations.
The ability to speak Spanish is beneficial in this role and highly desired.
The selected candidate will plan and execute communication strategies and community outreach strategies for Sodexo on behalf of the Home Grown Springfield brand for operations at Springfield Public School. Position will also manage community relations, which will include attending school, political and community events representing Sodexo and building strong partnerships with the community, government agencies and elected officials. You must be able to collaborate with private sector firms, including under-represented and local business enterprises on outreach to groups and communities. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with management and front-line employees.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in non-profit, corporate foundation or fundraising environment
